Technoblade had never expected the ambush during a routine patrol. The voices had been quite useless lately, only chanting things about 'main story line' or 'golden child' all of which only confused him. They hadn't told him about the ambush, so he ended up barely out of capture with wounds that even he wouldn't heal from easily.

The voices fixed whatever they wanted to fix, which wasn't much if he was being honest. They left him with the two bullets closest to his heart and one in his stomach. His leg got fucked up in some way too.

Chat screamed and laughed at him as he drug himself through the dead zone in an attempt to get home. His pain being overridden by his anger at everything around him. Knowing he wouldn't make it home, he chose a house that looked as though it wasn't lived in.

Stumbling through the messy house, he eventually goes into the first room he sees, which happened to look like a child's play room. Resigning himself to his pain, he could barely keep his eyes open.

You'd think being an immortal he would be used to this by now, the state of near death he finds himself in when he gets reckless and ends up as close to getting killed as he could get. However, it still makes him shiver and fear the thought of going through this, let alone while he had nobody.

Chat was chattering about something he could barely hear over the ringing in his ears, but the front door opening was deafening. He tried to get up to move, to hide while he was still vulnerable, but failed miserably when any movement caused him hot white flashes of pain.

His vision was growing ever more fuzzy, footsteps and more doors opening was the only thing that was louder than the screeching of chat , and even then it shouldn't have been.

A kid, probably no older than 15 walked into the room, anger and irritation clear on his face. He had walked over closer to Techno, absolutely no fear to be found. The kid crouched down in front of him and looked him in the eyes.

Blue eyes and golden feathers were what caught his eyes, the golden feathers that he just wanted to grab and pull. They stared at each other for a bit, Techno slightly uncomfortable with how long it had been since the kid had blinked.

There was a squeak at the door to the room, revealing two toddlers. The kid looked over at them quickly, which he decided to do the same. The kid's eyes went from the kids to Techno and then back at the kids.

"Hey, what are you both doing up? I put you both down for a nap only a few moments ago." The voice slightly startled him, it was loud, louder than the ringing, the door and chat. The kid had also sounded more mature than he thought he would be.

"Got bad night dream, Mommy." One of the toddlers called from the doorway. Techno's vision swam suddenly, making him close his eyes momentarily. He opened them again to see the two toddlers cowering behind the door.

Did they just call this kid mommy?

The kid, he needs a name for him, got up from his crouched position by Techno and headed over to the babies. Once he got to them, the kid hummed a gentle song, which made Techno's vision blur, his mind growing fuzzy.

The next memories are blurry, flashes of color that meant nothing until he felt pain. The pain in his chest grew and then softened as, what he believed to be, the bullets got taken out. The voices being oddly silent through the whole endeavor.

The bullets in his chest were tended too and the pain resumed near his stomach now. Passing out had never been such a blessing, all the pain fading away as he finally lost all consciousness. The fuzziness that ebbed at his mind no longer.

Techno awoke to a creak right in front of him. His vision was blurry when he opened his eyes. Blinking the blur away, he looked around and was unable to recognize his surroundings and chat was being scarily quiet.
