It was about a month or so since Harry shed and he was finally starting to feel like he was settling into being adopted. He no longer worried about if he was allowed to do this or that around the house. He laid by the fireplace and cranked the heat up like he owned it. Harry watched all the animal planet shows he wanted, and he went in and outside as he pleased. Though, he typically didn't go very far once he got outside. Harry mostly kept to the grassy patch in front of the suburban house Louis lived on.

Even Zayn seemed a little more relaxed, though Harry had to admit he could still tell there was some sort of weird hostility between the kitten hybrid and Louis. The air always felt dense when the two were in the same room as each other.

At the moment, Harry was cooking grilled cheese sandwiches. Niall was sulking and pouting under the kitchen table, watching Harry and making loud sighs every now and then just to let Harry know he was still sad. All because Harry had told him he wasn't going to give him anything until he made lunch. Niall was over since Liam was working.

"I'm almosssst done." Harry assured him. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Zayn sitting by the fridge. The hybrid had a glass of milk, as usual, and was just as sulky that Niall was there.

"I'm getting the first sandwich." Zayn said loudly. Niall glared.

"You are not. Harry likes me better. I get to eat first. I've known him longer." Niall argued.

"By like two days-"

"I will be feeding whoever has their handsssss washed and is ssssssitting at the table when I bring everything over." Harry said flatly, casting a look at the both of them. The two hybrids scrambled off quickly, racing each other to the bathroom.

"Don't pussssh!" Harry called, shaking his head fondly. He picked up the large platter of sandwiches, carring it to the table and setting it in the middle. He set out plates and four bowls of tomato soup with spoons. He got Zayn a fresh glass of milk, a soda for Niall, and a cup of hot tea for Louis. He put a hot cup of water with his plate, mixing in a little seasoning pack to his water.

Louis was first to sit down. "Wow. Everything smells amazing, Harry. Thank you for cooking." He said. The praise, though small and mundane, made Harrys heart flutter. He blushed and ducked his head a bit, sitting down on the special chair that Louis got for him. It was essentially a low table that was made into a seat by putting a cushion on it. It was low enough and wide enough for Harry to sit comfortabley at the table at regular height.

If you just looked from the table top up, youd think Harry was a normal bloke.

"Thank you for letting me." Harry shrugged. Niall and Zayn quickly broke the quiet atmosphere as they rushed to the table, nearly knocking each other over in the process.

"Calm down. There is more than enough for everyone." Louis scolded. Nialls ears went back and he looked a little guilty.

"Sorry, Louis." He murmured. Zayn, on the other hand, already had two sandwiches.

Everyone began to eat, Niall excitedly talking about seeing Liams parents the other night, and how they loved him and treated him so nice whenever they visited. Harry couldn't help but notice Louis looked a little tense as Niall talked. Harry bit his lip, debating in his mind before he finally pushed the end of his tail under the table, wrapping it around Louis' leg. Louis looked up at him, surprised but not pulling away. Harry tried to give him a nod that showed him he understood, silently.

"Why aren't you eating a cheese sandwich?" Nialls question snapped Harry out of it.

"What? Oh. Uh, I don't like cheessse..." Harry murmured. "Itssss hard on my stomach." He took a bite of his grilled ham sandwich.
