"What do you want for your birthday Liyah?" You asked yours and Justin's 4 year old daughter. "I want a puppy! woof woof!" She barked in her adorable baby voice. "Ok, What else do you want?" "Is daddy gonna be there?" You furrowed your eyebrows trying to come up with a way to break it to your daughter that Justin wasn't gonna be able to attend. "No sweetie, Daddy's gotta work." Tears formed at the rim of her eyes, before she jumped of the couch and ran to her room. "Liyah!" "What's wrong Liyah?" "Daddy won't be here for my birthday. Again! I hate him!" You wiped her face. He hasn't been able to be at her last 2 birthdays I know she's upset but that's his job. "Liyah .." You heard footsteps approach you and Liyah. You looked at your husband, Justin, he didn't know what was going on. She looked at him and buried her face in her pink princess pillow. "Baby girl..." He spoke but she ignored him like he wasn't even there. You grabbed his hand leading him into the next room over. "Whats wrong with Liyah?" He was concerned. You folded your arms over your chest. "She's upset that you won't be at her birthday party.." "You kno-" "Again though Justin?" "I can't help my job." You shook your head. "Yes you can Justin, you can avoid a certain tour date. You can't keep avoiding your daughter's birthday." You guys could hear Liyah's sobs through the wall. He ran his fingers through his hair and walked to her room. He laid on the bed next to Liyah. "Baby girl? Can we talk?" She removed the covers from over her face. "I'm sorry I missed your last birthdays." He messed with her curls. "But I'll be at this one." He smiled. Her eyes lit up in excitement. "Can we still get the puppy!" He pulled her on his lap. "Yes we can still get the puppy." He laughed and kissed her cheek.
