Peter's POV
I never thought demons could be scary until today. Bill looked like he was about to murder me in the most painful way possible.
But, my mind wasn't completely focused on him. It was on Shadow. Could that fight have possibly gone better if it wasn't for me? I wasn't sure.
Bill, still angry, huffed and teleported us to her house and placed Shadow on her bed. He turned back to me.
"Stay here," he ordered. "I have something to do." I nodded and turned my gaze to Shadow when he left.
However, Bill was only gone for a few moments, and returned with someone who looked very similar to him.
"This is Will Cipher," Bill introduced. "He's the best at healing magic between the three of us."
"Wait, three of you? Is there one more?" I asked, thinking that he was just gonna answer with Shadow.
"Th-there's K-Kill Cipher," Will sniffled, surprising me. Kill Cipher? Sounds oddly terrifying.
"Trust me kid, you wouldn't want to meet him," Bill huffed. "Now come on. Let's leave Will to do his thing."
Bill's POV
Peter nodded and I turned to Will, worried.
"Do you think she'll be okay?" I murmured.
"I-I don't know," Will whispered back. "Sh-she t-took some pretty b-bad hits." I sighed and nodded.
"Alright." And with that, I led Peter out of the room and downstairs.
Peter's POV
I sat down on the couch, Bill standing across from me.
"So kid, how did you think this was gonna turn out?" Bill asked. I thought about it for a moment.
"Not like this. I should've listened to you," I admitted, feeling guilty.
"Yes, you should've!" Bill snapped. "You better feel lucky that I'm not gonna kill you." Yes. I did feel lucky. But I also felt sad. Unless some sort of miracle happened and Shadow survives, nothing could make me feel better.
