Shadow's/My POV

He wasn't lying when he said "see you later." Not in the slightest. Not being able to check my pocket watch threw me off, but it was dark when he reopened the door and came in. To my surprise, he was carrying a first aid kit.

Peter sat down in front of me, his gaze holding mine. We stayed like that for a moment, until he pulled out a key and unlocked the chain around my left wrist.

Instinctively I reached for my dagger, only to realize it wasn't there. I growled at myself angrily, remembering I had left it on my desk.

"On no Darling, it's here," Peter chuckled, seemingly reading my mind. "Unfortunately for you, it's somewhere where you won't be able to reach it."

As a response, I struck put with my legs, hitting him square in the chest. He fell back with a surprised look on his face, but he didn't stay down for long.

He sat back up with a malicious grin. Before I could react, he had my legs and left arm pinned.

"You wound me Darling," he murmured, tightening his grip on my arm. I growled under my breath.

"Hm, how about we get those cuts bandaged up?" He asked, tightening his grip ever so slightly more on my arm. I drew in a sharp breath.

"Fine," I muttered. He smirked.

"What was that?" Peter asked, tightening his grip even more. Tears welled in the corners of my eyes.

"Fine!" I snapped, a growl deep in my throat. He smirked again.

Without another word, he let go of my arm and opened the first aid kit. He carefully cut off the original bandages and cleaned the cuts with some rubbing alcohol.

When he was done with that, he bandaged my arm back up before locking the chain around my wrist and standing up.

"I'll see you tomorrow Darling," he smirked, giving me a small wave before leaving the room and shutting the door behind him. I let out a small breath. Could this get any worse?

Peter's POV

I made my way downstairs and returned the first aid kit to its cupboard. I was a little sad that my Darling had hurt herself, but there wasn't much I could do about it.

With a small sigh, I turned on the faucet and washed my hands. As soon as they were dry, however, I could hear a repetitive buzz sound coming from outside.

I looked outside, only to find a band of wasps looking in the window to Shadow's room. My eyes widened. Didn't Bill mention something about poisonous insects? Could they just so happen to be what he was talking about?

I grabbed a knife and went to the back door. Before I could get out of the house, however, the wasps turned and flew away.

I sighed. Looks like things were only going to go downhill from here.
