Hey, everyone! This is my first story, so sorry if it's not so good, but I'm gonna get better. So please keep reading! <33333
Chapter 1
"Hey Mackenzie, for the entertainment, should we have Eminem or Justin Bieber?" asked my best friend Marissa. She was gorgeous. She had long brown silky hair and bright green eyes with perfect skin, but we were both pretty. I also had long, flowy hair but it was a bright blonde and I had deep blue eyes. We were popular at school and had plenty of friends, but we were the only ones that were always there for each other. I've known her my entire life, practically since the minute I was born.
Coincidentally, both of our moms were in labor on the same day and were heading over to the same hospital, St. Clementine's. While my mom was in the room almost ready to have me, Marissa's dad walked in trying to look for the room that his wife was in. My mom freaked and told him to leave while screaming in agonizing pain. Later after we were both born, my parents met Marissa's parents and they started to chat and become friends. They would always schedule play dates for us and we've been best friends ever since.
"Hmm, definitely Justin Bieber. He'll be more appealing to all the 16-year-old girls at the party than a 30-year-old man." I replied back.
"Yeah, you're right. So now we have the entertainment and venue," Marissa agreed as she checked off the crucial requirements for our combined "Sweet 16" birthday party," Now what about food and drinks?" Marissa was a total neat freak, but I loved her for that. She's what keeps everything organized and I don't know how orderly I would be without her.
"Well, I already ordered the cake from Carlo's bakery. So let's look online for any restaraunts that cater in our area." I said.
----------------------------------------
Later after we ordered the food, we sat lying on the bed in my room of my mansion. Yes, a mansion. My mom was a lawyer and my dad was a doctor; a perfect match. We had tons of money coming in, so of course we would buy a big house. Who wouldn't? Marissa's parents had the same occupations as mine, so they were really close and her family was equally as rich.
Downstairs, I heard a door slam. Yes! My brother, Jeydon, was home! We were very close and we loved each other, but of course we would get into fights as well. I ran downstairs to give him a hug and see where he was all day.
" I was just playing basketball with some friends" he said as he strolled into the kitchen looking for something to eat. He took one look at the nearly empty refrigerator and asked,
"Wanna head over to Gino's Pizza Palace?"
"Sure, let me just grab some things from my room." I agreed. I ran upstairs to get my purse with all of my needs in it, of course. Then I took my phone from the charger and met Marissa and Jeydon downstairs waiting for me at the door.
"Ready?" He asked.
"Yup, let's go. I'm starving." I replied.

In the restaurant, we all enjoyed our pepperoni pizza and chatted about the new song "Friday" when suddenly the place grew quiet. All I could hear were chefs cooking in the back. I turned around to see what everyone was looking at and my expression changed.
It was Lindsey Leazer, my sworn enemy. She walked casually over to our booth and said hi to Jeydon in the most flirtatious way. She may hate me and Marrisa, but she loved my brother. Although he despised her as well, he said hi back in the kindest tone. That what was so great about him. He may hate someone, but he'll always be nice to them unless they do something to anger him or the people he loved.
" Well, well, well. What do we have here?" said Lindsey as she took the list that Marissa made for the party. "Trying to plan a birthday party when you already know that I'm throwing one as well? Pretty risky, dontcha think? Don't even try to top mine" She sneered and walked out of the restaurant with a to-go box of pizza.
"God, I hate her. Who does she think she is? She can't just waltz in here and diss me in front of my friends. She's going to regret that." I said solemly.
"Don't worry about her, ok? She's not worth it and our party will be better than her's; no doubt about it." replied my best friend reassuringly.
"You're absolutely right, but I'm gonna have a stern talking with her later. Wanna join?" I asked.
"We can't. I invited Marissa to play some tennis with me later. I would ask you to come, but it seems as though that you already have plans.? replied Jeydon.
"Okay, I'll see you guys tomorrow!" I yelled as I walked out the door and into the car on my way to Lindsey's house.
