It was now Monday morning and I had to get to school. I went over to my closet to conjure up a new outfit and found the perfect one. I slipped it on and went downstairs. Jeydon and Marissa were eating waffles in our white, marble breakfast area. When Marissa saw me, she headed into the kitchen to grab me a plate filled with yummy, syrup-filled crispy waffles. I thanked her and sat along with everyone else. We chatted about regular things, but I honestly wasn't paying any attention. I was too busy thinking about the revenge I was planning on Lindsey. I hadn't thought up of anything last night in bed, so it was still continuously going through my head.
"Right, Mackenzie?" asked Jeydon.
"Huh, what? Oh, yeah." I responded cluelessly, but they didn't seem to notice.
"Come on. We have to get to school."said Marissa. We put our dishes away and grabbed our bookbags. Jeydon drove us to Milton High every day. The bus didn't come to our part of area, but we didn't mind not having to ride on a yellow vehicle with other people. We got to sit in Jeydon's cozy hummer and listen to music so loud the car shook. I looked forward to the ride everyday.

When we pulled up to our school's parking lot, Jeydon parked the car in the same reserved space where we always parked. We all got out and I walked up to some of my friends with Marissa while Jeydon headed over to the jocks of the school, which he was considered to be since he was the star quarterback our football team.
Hey, guys! How was your weekend?" asked one of my good friends Charlotte who I liked to call Char.
"Great! And we got to see all of you at Marissa's house for the invites." I replied.
"Oh, right! Those tiaras were gorgeous. They were the best invitations I've received." said Char
"Um, Char. They're the only invites you've ever gotten. For the other parties that we've been to, we were asked to go in person; not with anything else." replied Stephanie, who we all called Steph.
"Oh, whatever" said Char.
"Sorry to leave this little argument here, but I'm gonna head over to the bathroom before classes start." I announced.
"Kay, cool. See you in first period." responded Marissa. Everyone said their goodbyes and I walked into the building. The bathroom wasn't far from my locker, so I knew I'd be able to get my books after I go. While I was in the stall, I heard Lindsey and Clarissa walk in. They were talking about the entertainment for her party.
"Yeah, so I'm totally getting Justin Bieber to perform. All of the other singers that I wanted can't make it because they're busy with something."said Lindsey.
"Have you called his manager yet?"asked Clarissa.
"No, but I will after school. I can't let Mackenzie have him first. It would ruin the entire party."
And then I knew exactly how to punish her.
One they left, I took out my phone to call Justin's record label. I had called them before but it went to voicemail. This time when I called, Scooter Braun answered.
"Hello? Yes, this is Mackenzie Carter. I was wondering if Justin Bieber could sing at my Sweet 16 next Saturday," There was a pause," Oh he can? Great, oh and can I ask you a favor? Well, you see my friend Lindsey wants Justin Bieber to sing at her party as well, but it's this Saturday. No, no. If she calls to ask, could you turn her down and say he's busy that night? I will double the money for Justin's performance. You will? Ok, great thank you! I'll see you guys next Saturday." And I hung up. Ha. That's why you don't mess with me, Lindsey. This was perfect. Without a performance, Lindsey's party was going to be a bust. Then my phone rang. It was Justin's manager Scooter again.
"Yes?" I asked.
"Hey, Mackenzie. It's me Justin." I got kind of jittery when I heard his name.
"Hey, Justin. What's up?"
"Well, I heard that I was performing at your party, so I wondered if I could bring my man Usher along. We were gonna hang out that night, but I'm sure he'd like to sing more."
"Oh yeah, that's great! I'd love for him to come, too."
"Thanks Mackenzie. I'm glad to hear that. See you next Saturday." *click*
Wow, Justin Bieber and Usher? This was too good to be true and now I was sure that my party was going to be better than Lindsey's. You know what they always say. Two is better than one.
