do I have what it

takes to be a

twenty-first century

designer, she asks

me.

no.

I don't want the

headache of having

to impress or be

impressed by the

work of others.

in poetry I can

sit back, glance

at gazes and

pretend I'm

something good.

whether it's true

or not, only book

sales will tell,

but I've never been

one for money.

I guess that

makes me a

legend in my

own mind.
