Chapter Seven: The Execution[1]

It's been 2 weeks since the time rukia was suppostedly back from the human world to report back to seireitei

I was wandering in the garden of my manor, when I saw byakuya inside the main hall.

"Hey! Byakkun!" I shouted

He looked at my direction and walked forward

"Hey, is Rukia back yet?" I asked

"It looks like she had violated some rules" he answered

"What? What rule?" I asked

"...She had transfered spiritual pressure to a human" he said coldly

I gasped at what he said. Rukia? I knew it, something is wrong here

"When will she be back?" I asked

"Renji and I will be fetching her" he replied

"Will everything be okay once you're back?" I asked

"That I do not know. But I am sure that she will be punished to the degree of her violation"

"Which is?"

"...Execution" he answered blankly

"...No! Is there any other way?" I demanded

"..." He said nothing and kept his blank face

I headed to the fifth squad barracks. I need someone to talk to, and aizen-taichou is the perfect person.

I knocked at the door to his office

"Come in!" He answered

"Taichou" I said and sat at the couch

"Is there a problem, Haruka-sama?" He asked

Yeah, if I call him captain, he is gonna call me with honorifics.

"Captain, Rukia, is she really gonna be executed?" I said almost sobbing

"Now, now, haruka-chan. I'm sure there is a way" he said with sympathy

"I hope so" I said

"...Oh, what is your zanpakuto, is it elemental?" He asked

"Oh, yeah, it's water based" I answered

"Oh, so we are the same" he smiled

"Really? I wish i can see it" I pouted

"I can show you" he said excitedly

"Eh? I thought it is forbidden in Seireitei" I said

"Well, we can go to the outskirts of rukongai" he said

"Really? Yaaaaay!"

With that we got to an empty field in the 80th district in Rukongai

He demonstrated his abilities and wow, it is a captain level of awesomeness.

After that we got back to the barracks. I felt the senkaimon open, must've been byakkun. Wait! If that is byakkun, rukia must be with them. I quickly flash stepped into the senkai gate. Rukia had a cut in her right cheek. Renji was severely injured, and Byakkun looked like he killed someone.

What in the world is happening? After some moments a captain's meeting was called. Byakuya quickly disappeared. Members of the fourth division aided lieutenant Abarai. While agents of the central 46 held Rukia and led her to an imprisonment cell. I followed them and when they were gone I started to talk to rukia.

"...Rukia, what happened" I asked

"H-haruka-sama, I...I" she stuttered

"It's okay if you don't wanna tell me" I said reassuring her

"H-his family...they're in trouble...I needed to help...I...I had no choice. If...if I hadn't done what I did...we could've been all killed" she said almost sobbing

"...Rukia"

"I... I don't regret it. What I did is for the well being of others. But...I...I changed his fate. I...ruined his ordinary life" she said

"Rukia...I...I will find a way. I will consult my father about this"

"Thank you... Haruka-sama"

My eyebrow twitched at how she addressed me

"I said for a very long time ago...NO NEED FOR FORMALITIES!!!" I shouted

I smiled at her and she smiled back

"Well?..."

"Thank you... Haruka-san" I smiled at her

"Better...I should be going. See you when I see you" I said and she nodded

Rukia's POV

Haruka-sama is such a good friend. I am lucky to have her

"Well...Rukia. Welcome back"

I turned to see Renji at the other side of the prison bars

"Good to see you lieutenant abarai" I said sarcastically

"Are you mocking me?" He said eyebrows twitching

"For what benefit will mocking a lieutenant give me?" I said still full of sarcasm

"Whatever. You are lucky for your brother. I am sure he is finding a way to reduce your penalty. I bet he is talking to the central 46 right now" he said

"...I doubt that" I said

"Eh? What are you talking about?" He asked confused

"I know him more than how you do. And ever since I was taken in by the Kuchiki clan, he had never once looked at me with sincerity. I know he won't be saving me this time. And if I hadn't known better, I am sure he would prefer killing me with his own hands"

"T-that is ridiculous" he said and marched out of the cell

Nii-sama, I am not regretting what I did. And I wouldn't mind if you won't forgive me

Renji's POV

That is just ridiculous. I didn't allow Rukia to be adopted for her to be executed. What can I do? Nothing!

"Lieutenant Abarai. Did you came to see Rukia?" I snapped out of my thoughts and saw Haruka-sama in front of me. I still prefer calling her without honorifics. But she is a noble ya know?

"Haruka-sama! Ahh, yes I did" I answered

She hit me in the head with the back of her hand

"ITAI!!! What was that for?" I demanded

"Honorifics?" She said eyebrows twitching

"You are calling me lieutenant yourself" I stated

"Oh, because you are a lieutenant" she said

"Whatever, call me as you like" I said eyes closed

"Really? Then I'll call you eyebrows" she said

"EHHHH? NO WAY!" I said

"Hahaha, see you eyebrows" she said and shunpoed away

"Ahhh, she's a pain in the ass" I said and headed back to my room. It's already night time and I sure need some rest. That damn orange head gave me the pain. He sure is strong. I hadn't seen anyone like that before. His reiatsu and his enormous zanpakuto is new to me. I hate to admit it, if captain hadn't interfered I would've been dead. So much for being a lieutenant.
