"Hey stop it! I worked hard on that!!"
the girl says as Miriam teasingly pretends to smash her hay carving. She was visiting Miriam again as she does every two days, and they decided to try something new.

"Whatcha gonna do, huh? Bite me?"
"You bet."
"Wait wh-"
She suddenly jumps on her pretending to be in an attacking stance and they roll on the floor laughing.
As they stop, they somehow ended up on top of each other, both covered head to toe in hay.
That's gonna need a long shower..
The girl looks embarrassed as she sees Miriam's face beneath her, even in that position she looked beautiful, what a girl.

"Hm? Why'd you get red all of a sudden? Never been on top of someone before?"
she chuckles.

"Relax, we do this all the time when I practise with my aunt for self defense! You can even join if you'd like. Basically you just go bang boom."
She ends her sentence as she suddenly does a complicated trick that the girl didn't have time to process, before she's suddenly pinned down on her stomach with her arms behind her back just like police officers in movies.

"How'd you just-"
"Told ya."

she says as she gets up extending a hand helping the girl up, trying to Pat the hay off her clothes.

"Hm."

" 'Hm'? "

"Reminds me of a dream I had."

"What?"

"Nothing."
she looks away trying to hold a laugh.

They both remember the carvings, looking over to the right.
Oh..
Looks like the rolling messed them all up.. well at least they had the experience, right?

"There goes all the hard work.."

Miriam laughs before she starts talking.
"Don't worry!" She says still patting the hay off. "We can always make new ones."

"I guess you're right, alright then."
That awkward silence occurs where both look at different parts of the room pretending as if they've seen it for the first time, as they try to find a way to start another conversation.
"Soo.. what do you guys do in your freetime back at the town?"

"Oh! Well, most of the houses around our town are surrounded by gardens and big open fields. Our people LOVE to run around and play in them! Me included."
she says proudly.

"My my, care to take me for a stroll there? I wouldn't mind a little adventure."
"Really? My pleasure!"

..

"So much.. green.. colours.. my eyes hurt.."
Miriam says as she covers her eyes and the girl laughs at her reaction

"Come onnn man up! The scenery is beautiful!"
"Alright alright.."

The girl pulls Miriam with her into the middle of the large field, as they both sat down and chatted, while the sky shone brightly with a mix of gold and blue, with fluffy clouds that both loved seeing.

"So, tell me more about yourself! We haven't had the chance to talk about our interests."
Says the girl striking up a new topic.

"My interests you say? Well.. I do like to sing and draw!"

"Oh my! We've got an artist and a singer too! Bet you're super talented."

"Well, I can't be the judge of that.."

"Can I hear a little song then? Please?"
The girl says as she lifts up her hand in the begging position.

"I suppose a song won't hurt..
Sure."

"Great!!"
Says the girl excitedly.

Miriam gets ready to sing, looking up at the sky, as the girl admires her and gets ready to hear her voice.

Miriam clears her throat before starting.

"... This is my fight song.. Take back my life song.. Prove I'm alr-"

"NOT THAT SONG!!"
Says The girl bursting out laughing as she knew Miriam was joking, and Miriam bursts out with her.

"I'm sorry I'll sing an actual song!"
She says, still laughing.
She then clears her throat again, and starts singing an actual song.
It was a song about dandelions.
The girl was dashed by Miriam's beautiful voice, it was even better than she had expected, and she already expected it to be beautiful.

Miriam continues, as the girl listens to her in admiration, enjoying the song.

"What do ya think?"
Says Miriam, as she finished her song.

"Amazing!! You really are talented!!"
Says the girl as she claps for her, genuinely amazed by the performance.

"Aww, Thank you little one."
Says Miriam with a bright smile that shone like the sun.
"So, what about you? Tell me about yourself."

"Oh! Well.. I like drawing like you do!
And.. Oh yes, I'd like to be a business woman if I ever get the chance."

"My my! Can't wait to see you on top of the world."

"Yeah right! If I ever get to study with a good education.."

"I'm sure you will someday, have hope!"
Says Miriam with a smile, as she pats her shoulder, looking over to her.
The girl smiles back.

"Actually, Speaking of dandelions.. why don't we go run in the field a bit? Trust me it's more fun than you think!"

"Sure, why not!
Don't drag me too hard though."

"No promises."
Says the girl as she laughs, and grabs Miriam's hand, helping her up.

The two friends dash in the open green fields together, having a great time of their lives not like any other. It was a beautiful view when you see these two together.
They got to know each other better everyday, to the point all the people from both sides of the two different lives knew the pair were close.
Nothing could get between them.

Or could there?

..

"Hey.. Miriam?"
"Yeah?"
".."
"Cat got your tongue? Ask away."
"..Never mind."
"Damn you.. you know well I hate that move!"
she says as she laughs and drags her down to the grass, as they both lay together on the field.
"Heh.. Maybe one day, I'll tell you a little secret."
"Promise you won't leave me hanging?"
she says as she lifts up her pinky finger.
the girl hesitates, before locking fingers with her.
"Promise."
