CHAPTER 2: Reviving Plans

Eliana POV

I woke up with a head-splitting pain and I groaned in reaction. I managed to get off my bed and staggered into the bathroom then put on the shower and let the cold water run into my scalp as I signed in relief. I closed my eyes and began to recall everything that has happened a night before. It really worth it I said. All thanks to my friend anyways. I met Smith an interesting young man who actually was a business man according to him. He deals with the selling of cruise ships and also private jets. An interesting business anyways.I hope we make a good deal out of our friendship.

After a while I stood up leaving the shower running and went back to my room holding my head because it seemed like it was going to fall off my neck. I sat quietly and turned to find Elly drooling on her pillow. My beautiful friend I thought so young, successful, intelligent and free. I love her so much. I chuckled at her little snores. It made me feel better. I guess if she made any friend while I was away with Smith. I guess she did I thought as I smiled a little. I got up and dried my hair then went to have a hot bath but still ended up running cold water into my hair though its chilly. I got dressed and arranged the room in order and took a glance at May and chuckled silently.

I left the room feeling better and switch the television on then proceeded to make coffee and breakfast. I thought of making spaghetti and salad. So I took coffee and sighed in satisfaction then I started cooking. Halfway into cooking I heard a rumbling sound from inside. I knew the baddie was awake. Then I hurriedly stuffed the Turkey I found in the refrigerator and then put in the oven. Then I chopped some onions and tomatoes and also set them aside.

After a while I bought out some stuffs for cooking. I boiled the spaghetti then made sauce out of some sweet chili pepper, the chopped tomatoes and onions. Then I poured the spaghetti into the sauce and mixed it. Then I checked on the turkey and adjusted the heat. I then chopped some lettuce, carrots, sages, coriander leaves and some red cabbage. It looked so colorful which I loved. I poured some salad cream and tasted it. "Hmm.. Tasty" I said as I munched on the goodness.

I bought out the turkey and set it on the table alongside the spaghetti. I poured some coffee into a small kettle and placed a cup for May. I also kept some sausages and bacons on a little tray. I made some soup and chilly steaks too cos the weather was chilly. Then I sighed after seeing everything beautiful and intact. Then I rushed to bring a red wine to round up everything before heading back to the room to get May ready for the surprise.

I hurriedly entered the room and met May dressing. "Hey b" I said smiling "I guess you slept well" I said demonstrating how she slept with her parted lips and drools too. She laughed heartily and said "It's not funny". "It is" I said loud. I watched her as she sniffed the air and I pretended like I didn't know anything. She looked at me raising an eyebrow " What have you been up too?". "drinking coffee and watching movies" I replied. "Hmm... I guess there is a new restaurant nearby maybe we should check it out when I'm done because I'm starving right now" She said with a frown. I smiled and replied "Maybe".

She got up after putting her hair up in a bun. "I'm done so let's go" She said. "To where" I said in pretence. "The new restaurant" She said confused. "Oh wow" I said. "What?" She said in disbelief. "I was only joking let's go" I said with a chuckle. She stood back staring in disbelief with a smile on a face "what's up with you" She said. "C'mon let's go" I said as I held my hands out to hers. Then she took it. She stopped after we got to the kitchen and stood with jaws dropped. Her eyes burning with surprise and happiness. I saw it and I was proud of myself. "I was ju..." I said as she pulled me to a hug. "Thank you" She said loudly. "Let's it baby" She said with a grin.

We sat down and she served the spaghetti and cut the turkey. "Did you order these?." She asked eating a piece of the turkey. "I made the meal myself May". "You mean you found all these in my house?." She asked. I laughed as I replied "Yea, sweet". Her eyes widened " Thank you Elly. This is one of the best gifts you've given to me". She said to me. I felt warm inside and gestured to continue eating before it became cold.

She finished about 3 cups of coffee, had two plates of spaghetti , she also ate steaks and the sausages. She had two glasses of champagne. Such a large appetite I thought. "It has been long I had something as good as this. All thanks to you Elly.". She said with a smile. "Anytime dear" I said as I squeezed her hands softly. She got up with a plate filled with salad and more turkey. "What a glutton" I said. "Whatever" She said as she got up to go sit on the couch. I also got up and cleared the table. I kept the leftovers inside a plastic bag then stocked it back into the fridge.

I downed a glass of champagne and joined May in the sitting room. I sighed in relief then started planning on how to return back. I concluded in probably hundred seconds that it will be best to return in two days. "May" I called out softly. "What's up baddie" She asked with a smile. "I wanted you to know that I'll be leaving in two says" I announced as quickly as I could and avoided eye contact with May. "Really?" Her voice turned soft filled with sadness. "Yea" I replied. "Why" she asked. "Well... I still have two weeks left but I need to go see my mom and I promised to spend a week with her then I'll have to go home to finish up all the office paperwork and all prior to the New year resumption." I said still avoiding eye contact. "Hmm... That sounds good" She said plainly. "How about Smith?... What do you plan to do with him?." She asked. "Well I'll have to plan a date with him to have lunch tomorrow then we can have a girl's night right after." I said. "Oh good. I love that." She said excitedly.

"I guess I have to start preparing too. I have a lot of work to be done before reopening my business." She added as she got up to wash her plate in the kitchen sink. "I know right.. You've got this babe. It is your passion and you are going to make it through okay," I said motivating and reassuring her. "Thanks b" She added with a smile. "I'll be in my room" She announced. "Okay" I said out loud and continue watching the TV series. I sighed and didn't know when I slept off.
