“D
on’t you ever speak to me or try to control me ever again coz am nobody’s puppet you get me?” she said in very calm voice but deep down she was burning with fury. As she stood looking at her boss who was standing there looking as calm as ever but she knew that she had hit a nerve for the hundredth time that week and she was sure he was used to her. “I don’t know who gave you the fake confidence you carry around when you are with me but one thing I hate is being disrespected and on top of that being rudely interrupted just to be told such no sense.” Her boss said in his don’t-you-ever-talk-to-me-like-that-again tone but for once since in her three years of working there she didn’t really care and didn’t apologies because she knew this was her last day of work it was time for her to get back home and get back to her life. She had lived someone else’s life for so long and now it was time to give it all up. “you call it no sense I call it telling my bad ass boss some truth and teaching him how to treat his personal assistant right and not like some kind of moron who can’t differentiate their left from their right.” she said that and that had done it for him he was furious and you could see it from his facial expression and that was a very rare occurrence since he always had a nonchalant demeanor. “I don’t know what you are trying to prove with this attitude of yours or what got into your pants this morning but I don’t have the time and energy for any of your games this early morning so I’d advise you get over yourself and get back to being my very annoying P.A who is effective though always gets on my nerves with her stupid comments and her sassy behavior.” He said and at that she was cracking up not because what he said was funny but because she didn’t even know why she was standing there bantering with her egoistic boss instead of just walking away and handing her resignation letter tomorrow. “You know what I don’t know why you’re laughing but as I said I don’t have the time and energy for this so now get back to….” as he was talking she cut him and said “ooh my darling boss am sorry (note the sarcasm in what she said) but I also don’t have time for my arrogant boss and his ego anymore I’ve endured you’re behavior way too long although I wasn’t and am not like you’re other employs who are way too scared of you that as you enter the building everyone would scatter in the corridors and get themselves busy even if they don’t have things to do.” After she said that she started to walk out on him but he stopped her with his don’t-you-dare-me-voice “if you walk out on me don’t you dare come to work tomorrow and don’t think that after this you will go getting any work soon because I will make your life more miserable than you think trust me.”  Her boss never had no ending and she could see that and for once she wanted to put him into his place with no regrets. “OMG you are more useless then I thought, when I first came here to work and heard that my boss is a man of 25 I was awestruck because for someone as young as you to run such prestigious company that means you are talented, smart and all that but apparently I was wrong because between you and a bird am sure the bird is way better than you and am sure a 5 years old child can run this place better than you because instead of impacting fear he would make this place more endurable for his workers. Anyway I don’t care about your threat if you want make sure I don’t even have a penny to my name it’s okay go ahead let’s see how that goes for you.” After she was done talking she left and that was the end of her time in New York it was time for her to get on a plane and get back to what she left three years back. Back to THE LIFE……
