The bright lights of Yoongi's computer illuminated the whole room, his fingers deftly moving over his keyboard, tapping away in the quiet. His private studio was completely dark apart from the monitor's light; a very eerie, yet relaxing, setting for an individual who wanted to collect his thoughts.

Tomorrow was the big day; the group would finally be leaving for the airport and the start of their upcoming tour. Yoongi's mind was functioning at what felt like 100mph, he was starting to feel a little overwhelmed by everything he was feeling. Not only was he nervous about the start of the tour, the long journey to Europe, the busy schedules, the fact he hadn't even packed anything yet... he was mulling over the events at yesterday's practice.

He stopped typing for a moment and let out a heavy sigh, leaning back in the plush computer chair and stretching his arms high above his head. The more time passed, the more disappointed he was in his prior performance, he was annoyed by the mistakes he had made and his attitude. He was an idol, he wasn't supposed to slip up, he should be professional and accurate, whatever the setting.

Yesterday, he'd felt anything but that, he'd simply felt like he was pushing his tired body through a work exercise with no end in sight. He wanted to spend some time figuring a few things out, and the best way he knew how was by enjoying his own company in a dark room, letting his creativity flow. The words his fingers typed out on the screen in front expressed ideas, feelings, emotions... words that normally he wouldn't be able to say, and ones that would eventually become lyrics to future songs.

Yoongi loved spending time in his studio, especially since he had changed the numeric password to the door to stop people barging in. He knew he wouldn't be bothered here for some time, and he was very glad of the solace and quiet to be able to calm his brain; this was his own method of self-care. He stopped typing, blinked slowly and stared at the ceiling for a while. He just couldn't get yesterday's practice out of his head, it irritated him greatly. He wondered why he just couldn't have boundless amounts of energy like his bandmates had.

Thinking about his friends, his thoughts turned again to Jungkook. He remembered in that second, stood away from the group, how strong and experienced he had looked as he danced. Taking the time to study him then, he had realised how visually stunning and passionate he was. He recalled watching how his body had moved flexibly yet controlled, his skin glistening with sweat and hard work.

Yoongi chewed his lip, musing over how much he had enjoyed Jungkook sitting with him and checking in on him. He had definitely felt a little defeated at the end of that practice, but didn't realise that what he'd needed to cheer him up was a playful attack from his friend. They had been close over all their time together in the band, for sure they were firm friends, but perhaps the last year's break had made him realise how much he'd missed being around him every day. As much as he'd been irritated at Jungkook's playful bullying and rib poking, he had to admit that the intimacy he felt in that situation was a curiously unknown feeling. A happy one, but confusing, he felt a little awkward.

A tingling sensation was stirring in Yoongi's stomach, it unnerved him slightly. Jungkook's skin had felt so hot as they sat next to each other, but then had seemed so calming with his arms around him on the floor. Yoongi wasn't one to ever to feel overcome with emotions, or desires, but there had been something about that contact that felt electric. He almost wanted to replay that situation so that he could feel it again. Why had he never felt this way about his bandmate before? This was too much to deal with.

The emotion of feeling longing for another disordered him. His whole life, his career had been his love, his passion, he'd actually rarely had time to think about relationships and romantic notions. So why was it happening now, of all times? Jungkook's warming smile seemed to be visually on repeat in his head. He knew he had a lot to think about, but he didn't want to, it felt like the most inopportune time with the tour starting. It made his brain ache.
