Chapter 16

JJ was waxing his board,pope was doing pope,Kie was fixing her ukulele and I was punching a sandbag i took from my house. 

"That's a lot of wax on your board. Put too much it's gonna be slippery."Pope said. "are you telling me how to wax my board."Jj said. 

"Just saying that's a lot of wax."pope said."Val. Careful your gonna break your hand"Kie said. "No i won't" i said punching the bag.

 I sent a right hook to the bag and then a jab."No you're telling me how to wax my board. you kidding."JJ said.

 "That's a colossal waste of wax."Pope said. "Guys really."Kie said. a car honk started honking. "did you hear that."I said. an engine nearby started sputtering. 

"No fucking why."I said holding the punching bag."are you serious."Kie said. "Guess who's out of the clink boy."John b yelled.

 we ran to him and hugged him."My boy's out of the can"JJ laughed. "we missed you."Kie said."I missed you guys too. 

"How'd you do it. you bust out."JJ asked."they dropped the charges."John b said. "They dropped the charges."I laughed. 

"That's phenomenal."Kie said. "You're telling me Val and I did all that work for nothing."JJ said. "oh the most elaborate escape plan of all time."Pope said.

"Foolproof."Kie said. "yeah it was actually."JJ said. "wait where's sarah"John b asked. "no no no where's sarah."JB said.

 "she went to go meet wheezie last night."Kie said. "she didn't come back."I said. I looked at my feet.

"so Sarah just dips and doesn't call"John b asked. "yeah man. she took her bag and didn't tell anybody"pope said.

"Okay dude i really think ward got to her. i mean the dude tried to have me killed in jail."John B said. "What"kie asked

 "yeah. He sent someone to the prison who yoked me up and almost killed me."John B said "dead ass" I asked "yes" John B said.

" Do we know who this dude was"jj asked "no I have no idea. Dude i swear to god. One day im gonna kill that son of a bitch."john B said. 

I opened my mouth to say something but JJ looked at me."it's okay"kie said.

"no kie it's not okay. We gotta find Sarah. "John B yells. No literally it's okay. She's right there" kie said pointing behind me. 

I snapped my head around and saw Sarah on a boat. With topper."what the hell is she doing with topper. The Boat got up close to us. 

Jj pulled me up and back. Sarah got on our boat and hugged John B. I stared topper down. 

I had no idea what they were saying til Sarah said that rafe jumped her."what"i asked "that's why I didn't come back" Sarah said. 

"Yeah man rafe has lost his mind. Literally almost drowned his own sister. Thankfully I got there. Just in time "topper said.

"yeah he did."Sarah said."I guess I owe you one topper."John B said " its all good. I mean somebody has to rescue your girlfriend right."topper said. 

"That's funny because she's not actually my girlfriend. Right"john B said looking at sarah."then what is she then" topper asked.

"tell him."John B said. "I'm with him."saran said. I leaned my head my JJ's shoulder. "Got it. Your with him. 

"I just needed a little clarity there. You got clear that"topper asked everyone else."I think it's clear you gotta go now"jj said

."think I'll head out now. It's about that time "topper said "topper. Thank you" Sarah said giving him a hug. ",yeah of course I'm just glad your okay." Topper said.
