A rainy day, it was. In London, Soho and a man named Crowley, Anthony Crowley, worked there, it was a simple job, taking orders and making it really and Crowley didn't mind it considering it wasn't much work and he got paid an alright amount to survive. He leant his back against the counter on his phone scrolling through his twitter as the bell above the door dinged. He put his phone away with a sigh under his breath, grabbing his notepad and his pen, clicking it. "'Orite mate, what can i-" He looked up and saw the most gorgeous eyes he could look at, he saw the man's lips moving so he got out of this trance he was in and focused. "Sorry what? I dint' get a word of that" Crowley said, clearing his throat nervously.
The man in front of Crowley had blonde, curly hair and Blue eyes, really bright blue eyes they were practically grey and Crowley loved them. And was overdressed, a whole 3-piece suit and a coat around it, it suited him though. The man repeated himself "it's quite alright, could I have a sweet coffee please" he asked with a smile. The waiter thought it couldn't get any worse but it did, his voice was absolutely angelic, perfect, soft, not too deep like his own, he spoke properly too which was something Crowley liked too.
"Yeah 'corse, 'corse." Crowley said, writing it down "and your name?"
The man was quick to answer with a smile "Aziraphale" The customer said, and Crowley smiled a little, writing his name down "just like the angel ey?" He asked, making his coffee for him as he tried to make small talk with the man, which seemed to succeed. "I guess you could say that, yes. A religious man, are you?" Aziraphale asked. "I don't worship the guy but i believe in it, they wouldn't like me." Crowley said in response, finishing his coffee and writing 'angel' on the cup. "Oh I beg to differ, you seem to be a kind guy to me" Aziraphale said with a smile, taking his coffee with a 'thank you' , reading the name with a blush, he understood why Crowley put angel on it so he didn't question it. Yet, Crowley squinted his eyes and made a sour face "I am not nice." He said in a deep, slightly threatening tone, finding great offence to it which Aziraphale had realised."Oh! I apologize, I don't mean to offend you in any way!" The angel said his heart raced at the sight of his anger, he just thought it was from fear since he's not used to violence. Crowley couldn't get mad at him so he sighed "it's 'orite i s'pose" he said leaning against the counter, Crowley wore Circle sunglasses hiding his eyes , his hair was dirty red and his cheekbones were visible, so was his jawline, his outfit was just a simple black button up t-shirt which was half undone and some black slacks with a belt and black polishable shoes, with a green apron with a nametag on it that said 'Crowley'. Aziraphale found him rather attractive, he gulped and stared for a little longer, blush growing on his cheeks "so..uhm..i'm going to leave now." He said with a smile. "I'll be back tomorrow" he said and leaving in a rush, Crowley smiled, waving, he was happy to know he was coming back.
It's been a month now and the two men have created a good bond between each other, Aziraphale came in everyday, sometimes on his breaks. He had found out that he smokes, likes to take care of his plants, his Bentley, queen, he doesn't have many friends. He's daring and determined. All in a month and Crowley has grown to learn the angel enjoys reading, his book collection, the fact he tries to chase people away from his book collection, sweet things, sushi, the coffee he makes for him, walks in the park. They both have mutual feelings for one another, it's so clear and obvious, yet they're both too oblivious to even know so.
"So, angel, I was wondering.." Crowley asked, the two were sat down in the Coffee Shop, nobody was in so he just spoke with Aziraphale. Which laid up to look at the darker haired man. "If you'd like to uh..." blush rose onto his cheeks and he played with his fingers nervously, Aziraphale has also learnt that he is not great with dealing with his Feelings. "D'ya wanna go out with me tonight?" He said in a rush, leaning back on his chair. The request had shocked Aziraphale, not badly of course. But Crowley thought so, his glasses hiding the pain in his eyes. "Ya Know what nevermind- forget i said owt" He said, standing up "no, wait a moment!-" Aziraphale quickly shot up and grabbed his hand, stopping Crowley in his tracks. "I would love to go out with you tonight." He said nervously but positively. Both men were beet red "o-oh great" Crowley said , stuttering a little. "In one condition" Aziraphale asked, which Crowley was listening, replying with a hum, he'd do anything for him. "Have those glasses off the whole night" The angel asked, which kind of shocked , raising an eyebrow "I've never seen your eyes" Aziraphale reasoned which made him understand "fair enough, yea" he agreed with the circumstances and smiled softly. A ring on the door bell indicating someone was here. "I'll see you tonight?" Crowley asked softly and quietly which made Aziraphale's Stomach flutter a little and he nodded "yes" he said, holding his hand on his cheek for a moment, looking at his lips, which he fought the urge to kiss him and smiled, leaving, saying goodbye. Crowley blushed furiously and smiled, taking the customer's order.
It's finally night time and both men are getting ready at their homes. They were going to 'the ritz' for their date. Crowley wore an all black suit, the same outfit what he had on at the coffee shop just with a blazer and a couple of accessories, a couple of chains, one on his pants amd one around his neck, a couple of the top buttons were not done and he didn't wear a tie, he hates ties. He was ready and left.
Aziraphale on the other hand was all ready, then same usual clothes , over dressed with a silly little bow tie which for some reason Crowley loved.
Aziraphale waited for a knock on the door whilst he put some perfume on to make him smell good, he smelt like books, coffee, and a hint of a lavender scent. He read a fantasy book until he heard the door open and close, which confused him so he turned around to see Crowley leaning on a bookshelf and 'good lord...' the angel thought, he looked attractive, he exhaled deeply and met with His eyes which made him blush furiously. "Ready to go?" Crowley asked as he smiled a little at the reaction. "Your eyes are gorgeous." Aziraphale slipped out accidentally, covering his mouth and blushed more if possible. That shocked Crowley, making him giggle a little and blush "I mean uhm..yes" the angel stuttered out and rushed out to the car. That amused Crowley alot, "uh huh" he said, following behind and to the car.
Once the two were in the car and driving off to the restaurant, Aziraphale couldn't stop staring at his eyes, giving glances at them which Crowley noticed. "You look beautiful." He said with a blush, his heart raced just because he gave him a compliment. Aziraphale smiled and blushed a lot "thank you, you look.." Aziraphale said, finding a word instead of sexy or hot. "Attractive" He said, clearing his throat. Which made Crowley fluster up, blushing more than earlier.
Once they got to the restaurant the two sat down next to each other. Crowley carelessly leant back, legs spread and an arm around the chair But Aziraphale sat up properly and looked at Crowley "What are you going to get?" The angel asked and turned his head to the serpent. "Alcohol." He said with a cheeky smile, Crowley didn't really eat often, only at certain times, he eats regularly and he's just not hungry. Aziraphale smiled slightly and ordered alcohol and some sweet food too.
The two started chatting about how their jobs work, complaining about customers, laughing at memories and just staring at each other. They weren't drunk, just happy. "I had this girl come into the Shop with her friend's once, she didn't buy anything, not even read a book, she just made these 'tikky clock' things" Aziraphale said, confused what they were called and just rolled with what came into his head. "No- Angel- it's tiktok, not tikky clock" Crowley said with a laugh, covering his mouth , smiling genuinely. "Well I don't know! I'm not up to date with the trends-" The angel confessed with a smile. Crowley was though, he always was.
Unfortunately the date ended, they both stood out the restaurant and looked at eachother "tonight was great, thank you Crowley." Aziraphale said softly with a smile, the wind whistling , street silent, no cars. "Ofcourse, angel." The serpent said softly with a smile. He stared at his lips for a moment and smiled softly, to his surprise, Aziraphale steps closer, he also staring at the others lips. 'Fuck it' Crowley thought and closed the short space they had and kissed him softly, his hands on his waist. Aziraphale didn't respond for a moment and eventually kissed back, his hands placed on both of Crowley's cheeks as the two shared a long, caring kiss.
