Merlin- Oneshots

Monster

I dont know why but this song reminded me of merlin so I wanted to incorperate it into a oneshot
so here you go sorry if it sucks balls

There was a feast in Camelot Arthur had caught an 'evil' sorcerer and sentenced her to death merlin hated it it reminded him how much Arthur is like uther in a lot of ways but the sorcerer as Arthur liked to call her wasn't evil she was a young girl eight maybe nine who was practicing magic on some food a gaurd caught her and brought her to Arthur and was sentenced to death because she practiced sorcerery

Merlin was angry he was beyond angry he was pissed but he was also hurt how could Arthur kill such a young girl just for practicing magic it wasn't even evil magic she was baking and wanted the cake to be different colors but instead of speaking up merlin kept his mouth shut while he stood behind his king while they celebrated the execution of a young girl everyone was drinking and laughing and having fun except four individuals

Gaius because he felt bad for the poor girl and thought it was wrong and was starting to change his views on arthur

Lancelot because he believes not all magic is bad and also because he is merlins friend and hopes that the same fate will not become his friend

Mordred because he can feel for the young girl he also wishes that Arthur didn't do what he did because it changed his entire views on the king

And finally merlin
Merlin was angry he was fuming and there was no calming him down gaius mordred and lancelot could sense the anger radiating off there friend and were worried he would do something dumb but also hoped for him to do it as well because they wanted this celebration to end just as much as him

Merlin was brought out of his thoughts by Arthur calling him over

"Merlin people are getting bored why don't you provide some entertainment" Arthur said with a smug look

Merlin looked at Arthur for a moment heat rising through his body having the urge to hit the king but he pushed it down and gave a small 'yes sire' and walked away he handed the pitcher in his hands to another servant

He started to walk to the center of the room he took off his jacket and rolled up his sleeves to reveal his toned and muscular arms a lot of people gasped at the sight they didn't know Merlin was fit but soon all noise and movement seased when people felt the aura merlin was giving off it was dark and sad the music began and then he started to sing his voice was low and raspy but smooth at the same time

Ever since I could remember
Everything inside of me
Just wanted to fit in

I was never one for pretenders

Merlin lit a fire in his hand his eyes turning gold

Merlin released a surge of power that showed he was losing control (to the eyes of everyone else but in reality he had full control)

Can I clear my conscience
If I'm different from the rest
Do I have to run and hide?

Merlin surrounded himself with black smoke

Arthur stared at his best friend who was standing in the middle of the room magic surrounding him angry he yelled for his guards to take merlin away so all the guards made there was to the 'sorcerer' but before they reached him Mordred and lancelot stood up and blocked them all this made Arthur even more mad why were two of his knight protecting a now known sorcerer

Then merlin began to sing again this time flames surrounded him and the two knight protecting him along with gaius in his chair at the table merlins eyes burning gold and staring straight at arthur

After the last note a flash appeared and the four men disappeared they weren't seen again after that Arthur became a tyrant like his father and the knights pondered on the lyrics merlin sang

Even though he was a sorcerer and he practiced magic he viewed himself as a Monster
