The confrontation between Riddle and Ace had been as she expected: an utter disaster, ending with Ace wearing the collar until Riddle deemed it fit to remove it.

"After all, you'll only be learning the fundamentals as first years, not casting magic until much later on in the school year." The gray eyes of Riddle Rosehearts were firm, Ace's face falling at his words. "Causing a scene like yesterday won't be possible any time soon. Isn't that wonderful? Just because you're collared does not mean you can disregard the rules. Rule 271 states that one must eat lunch and leave within fifteen minutes. Should you break the rules..."

"I'll keep an eye on them," Trey said, giving the redhead the reassurance that someone would look after them.

"Please do so promptly, Trey. A Vice Dorm Head should ensure that all rulebreakers are accordingly handled." For a brief moment, Riddle made eye contact with Soni before turning on his heel. His last words that Soni heard before leaving the cafeteria altogether were, "If it were me, all rulebreakers would lose their heads..."

With each step Riddle took, the less numb her forearm became until all that remained was the sensation of a thousand pins and needles across her skin. Relief flooded the nearby students' features once he left the lunchroom. At that moment, the words flowed out of their mouths in hushed tones, many of them being Heartslabyul students themselves.

"Crap, I thought that Dorm Head saw me eating a hamburger steak. That's Rule 186, right? No eating hamburger steak on a Tuesday."

"Can't we just eat what we want? Do those rules really matter outside the dorm?"

"I can barely stand this whole thing. Ah, but I don't wanna get collared, not after that shitshow over there with the freshies."

More and more, Soni saw the quiet resentment emanating from the dorm under Riddle Rosehearts' rules. What Cater had said earlier was completely contradictory to the sight she saw before her. How the rules were only within the dorm, but that was clearly not the case.

Everything in Heartslabyul would topple over like a house of cards if nothing was done.

"Riddle's not a bad person." Trey said, his voice calm amidst all the chaos that brewed in the background, "He's just trying to make the dorm better by being strict."

"Vee Eevee... Eevee." I don't think that's true... Soni may be strict, but that person's just plain scary.

"Look at my henchman!" Grim piped in from his meal. "Sure, she's strict about things and takes away my tuna cans, but at least she tells me why! A good person isn't someone who collars people without any real reason!"
