"Heeeeey, how's it going down there?"

"H-Hello Prefect."

"Ace Trappola. Deuce Spade. Give me one good damn reason why you're both up in a tree, or so help me, I will leave you two there." Soni put a hand over her face, trying to understand what in the world she was seeing. "One of you must answer. You have 20 words. It starts now."

Deuce buried his face into his hands, looking absolutely ashamed of how he got into this mess. Ace squirmed from his shared tree branch, trying to look like it was his intention to be up there in the first place. "We tried to use Aegis like a sword- OI! WHY ARE YOU TURNING AROUND?! COME BACK HERE!"

"Three more words!" She shouted back. "Use them wisely!"

"OOOI-!" The scream echoed in the early morning.

She slammed the door shut, letting out a yawn in the process. "What's for breakfast, Dior?"

"Gardevoir Voir." The Pokémon answered as they both made their way to the kitchens. Scrambled eggs mixed with Moomoo Milk with Pecha Berry Flavored Moomoo Milk, served with leftovers.

"Sounds pretty good to me."

"...Gardevoir Voir? Devoir Gar." The curiosity in Dior's eyes was apparent as she asked. Are you truly not going to help them down from that tree? I can sense their distress as well as fear from here.

"I'll get them down after breakfast. I just need the energy to get through the day." As much as Soni truly wanted them to understand the consequences of their dumbass actions, Ace was dealing with enough as he was while Deuce was most likely dragged into it. Ace was already insufferable on a normal day, so if she had to survive the rest of the day with him in his current state, Soni needed food before she could deal with his shenanigans. It was a fair trade-off.

"Voir." The warmth in the words made Soni huff. Soft as always.

"I'm ignoring that, and I'm going to get some food." Soni did her best to not look at her starter in the eyes as she walked in the direction of the kitchen. "I'll tell you the detailed plan after."

"Gardevoir." The amusement in her Pokémon's words only made her walk faster. I'll get them down from the tree then.

"Hey, I didn't say anything about that-! Ah, whatever... what a way to wake up in the morning." She shook her head. "Crap, I gotta beat Grim to breakfast, so he doesn't eat everything there..."
