Part 14

(Y/N) P.O.V.

Once Claptrap leads us through the gate we saw very big sheep and an even bigger building construction. On our left, I saw another binocular. Gaige went to get a better look.

"What do you see?" I asked her. Kreig now is standing closer to me. It's almost nice.

"There are many bandits there. One is closer to us in that shad. It looks like he is shooting those birdlike creatures." Mechromancer informed us.

"Those are Rakks and you don't want to bet bitten by them."

"Thanks for the warning Claptrap." That was my reply. Axton is only looking straight and nothing more.

"So we have some plan or just we go there and shoot everybody?" The teen asked us all. Probably it was a question to the soldier.

"I think shooting is fun." Salvador gives his opinion.

"Sal we need to think. There are much more of them than us. Not to mention we can't move that canon with us."

This really got me thinking. We need to move forward but at the same time not get killed. Use our abilities but not overdo them so we have the energy to defeat Captain Flynn. I turn to all of them so they can see me.

"Ok, when I ask you, I want all of you to cover your ears and close your eyes. I will answer your question later on. Deal?"

"Hold on we can't just agree to that. It's like a completely insane idea."

"I agree with Gaige it is insane. What could you possibly do? Make them laugh?" I didn't even let Axton end his rant. Now he did piss me off. And you don't want to know we then. I moved fast and very close to him. Well, head to chest close.

"Listen I can do the most idiotic, chaotic, crazy, and straight dangerous weapons. I can beat a man bigger than me. And I damn well can make your life a living hell. So if I ask you to trust me it means just trust me. I am in this shit together with all of you. You need me as much as I need you. So sweetheart for once do a simple request." During my rant, I jab my finger into his sternum a few times. And pat his cheek with the last sentence. That nickname was total sarcasm.

The air is now heavy. No one said anything for a while. I locked my eyes with the man before me. Mine are now hard but his, his are wide and big. He is genuinely surprised that I can talk back. That I said it all and probably that we feel each order breaths. Mine is much faster just as fast as my heartbeat.

"Amigo, what we will do? Your staring contest is boring."

"Little woman is too close."

Gunzerker and Psycho said almost at the same time. I moved a step back.  I looked behind him. The rest of the team stands together. Zero has a "?" mark on his helmet. Kreig is moving his buzzaxe forward and backward. Maya has her hands crossed and tap her feet on the snow. Gaige is just swaying on her heels. Salvador has hands on his hips. So they just wait impatiently on the decision. It is getting harder to work with them if we can't trust one another.

I sigh. "Once we are on the ship I will explain. Trust me on this. Please."

I moved my right hand for him to shake.

"I will but we want a really good explanation."

As Axton shook my much smaller hand I smiled.

"I need some answers too. But for now, I will say what I can. So we go or stay here?"

He also smiled but shortly. When he turned to others you could not say the was smiling. That same straight face as always. It's like only I can make him change his expression. I don't know now if it is for good or for bad. Time will tell.

"Vault Hunters we are one step closer to defeating Handsome Jack. We need to move on. We still have a few hours of daylight. Gaige you and Zero will cover us with a sniper rifle."

"Will do."

"The bullet will kill them very fast."

"Maya, Salvador, Kreig, and (Y/N) you go with me and clean the way. You Claptrap will show us the way."

"Come on minions after your master." The robot didn't even wait to hear anything more. He just welled forward to the shad.

"Guess we will talk later. Wait for us Claptrap! That robot will kill himself one of those days." I moved fast after our "master". Others move too.

In shad was no ammo or anything. Just bandits body. Probably the one that Rakks attacked. Others got to us. We slowly moved toward the gate. Unfortunately, it alarmed Flynn's men. They opened fire. Thanks to the havens for the snow here. We took covers and shoot back. After 10 or so minutes we could finally move through the gate. I and Kreig took the right side of the camp. Gaige and Zero moved to the center and the rest took the left side. This worked for some time. Well until we heard the echo from Flynn that his men have Claptrap and will play a game.

When we took our guide we moved forward. He could sell some junk and unwanted guns at the machines. I once had to heel Psycho. He moves fast for someone so high and screams a lot too. And had a meeting with a grenade. We are finally at lead the stairs to the elevator. Of course, there are many opponents there. After another crazy round of shooting and dodging, we start that mechanism. And move to the opening of the ship.

"Ok, let's get ammo and end this mess here." Axton said to us.

While others bought I moved closer to the step. Few deep breaths to calm nerves.

"Could you stay here? You too Claptrap. When I will call I want you to get others down. Can you do it, pal?"

"I will."

"We have a deal. Everybody covers your ears and close your eyes."

When I am sure they did it I let my hair down. Reload the pistols and jump on the deck. I know it will change everything now.

"Flynn get your ass here!"

Not only does Captain get on deck but so do his men. They don't have time to say anything. Just stay on deck like hypnotized.

"Now you all be a good boy and shoot your head. All of you."

They do it. One clean shot to the head. I come closer and shoot the laying bodies down. Just to make sure they are dead. While I made sure they are and got my hair in a ponytail I called for rest.

"Claptrap make them come down and you too come and get us away from here."

Few "wow" and "oh shit" were heard

"How did you do it?"

"Gaige I will tell you once we are on claptrap ship."

With that, we gather what was left and moved on a much smaller ship. It is more like a boat. And we sail to the glacier.
