Through the rift, a tentacle came out and slammed the ground causing a crater. The monster was slowly climbing out. It was a tentacle monster with a huge eye in the center of its body and a nasty-looking mouth at the bottom.
Are you kidding me? Really?! A rift had to open up?!
"Shiro! We need to get out of here!" Erica shouted.
I was going to follow her advice until I saw a kid in danger. The mother was trying to tell her kid to come to her. As soon as that happened, the monster turned their way.
"Shit! I can't! There are people in danger!" I told her.
I am not going to let a kid get eaten right in front of me. My legs ran as fast as they could towards the kid. The heart in my body is pounding at me. All my senses are telling me to run but my mind says otherwise. I swoop the little girl into my arms.
"Erica! Get the mother out of her!" I shouted.
Erica looked at me and gave me a nod. She started to drag the mother away.
"Come on! I promise your daughter will be fine." Erica reassured the mother.
I look at the girl in my arms. She is probably not even five yet. This will scar her for life but it is better than death.
I quickly start to run in the other direction. My body can feel the thumping from this monster walking across the ground.
I could feel a breeze of wind wash over me. My eyes try to find what caused that. A car was thrown at me! I was this close to death.
The speed of my running quickened after that car throw.

"Over here!" Erica yelled, waving me over.
I ran straight towards her. "Did you get the mother away?"
"Yeah, I did and some other people." She answered.
"Take the kid. I'll distract the monster." I decided.
I am not going to let anyone die.
"You could die!" Erica yelled at me.
"We could all die! Just get the kid out! I will find some way back to you." I planned.
All my hopes are on an adventurer that will hopefully come by. If one doesn't come, I will have to find a way to either escape or kill this abomination. I am not trying to see the death of anyone.
"What are you doing?!" A voice shouted out.
Right on time.
A lady stands over me giving me a glare that brings chills down my spine. She is a beautiful woman with raven hair and crimson red eyes. A saber is strapped to her waist.
"Bianca, can you take care of that monster?" The raven hair said.
"Of course," Bianca said.
It's Bianca Tsuki! She had snow-white hair like my mother and deep blue eyes.
"To answer your question, I am not trying to see anyone die." I snapped.
"We wanted to help," Erica said trying to back me up.
The woman just sighed. "I get that but neither of you has an Arcana right?"
We both nodded.
"You are just going to put yourself in danger." The woman crossed her arms. "Wait..." She then took a look at me. "You're Shiro Suzuki right?"
