Chapter 13

Damn, a high kick. Wow! She dodged it. My god, this fight is so close! Both of them are great fighters!  Lily with her quick assassin skills and Erica with her elegant swordplay! They keep one fighting using their Arcana and Dragon Fighting style.

It has been about a month since I leveled up to Tier 2. Lily and Erica have also got their Arcana to tier 2. They have both become regulars at the dojo and are sparring right now.

"All right girls! We have to get to school!" I yelled. They both stopped fighting and were breathing heavily. I got some bottled water and gave it to both of them. They both took it and drank the bottled water.

"Ooo.. that's refreshing," Erica said. "Thanks." She put the bottled water in her backpack.

"Thanks, Shiro!" Lily happily exclaimed. She drank the water and put it in her bag too.

Goku came up and patted their backs. Amber was sitting on the ground after a hard practice on a boxing bag.

"You two did good! I am surprised with your guy's progress." Erica and Lily both smiled as they were complimented. Amber then came up to me.

"Hey, Shiro, who do you think is the better fighter? Lily or Erica?" Amber asked. She had a teasing grin on her face. This demon fox girl... She is going to kill me with all this teasing. Lily had a strong look at me and Erica was glaring at me.

"So who Shiro?" Erica demanded.

"Yeah! Who!" Lily bashed at me.

I grabbed my bag and put it on my shoulder. There was an amusing grin on my face. You think you can tease me Amber but I have something up my sleeve.

"It's obviously me." I snickered as Liy and Erica started throwing their water bottles at me. They missed and I was just walking out the dojo.

"See you guys at school!"

Legacy High is a pretty good school. It has helped me learn about monsters and the history of this world. My social life is alright. I am friends with Iris which made my popularity boost a bit since you know... she is a princess. Never mind that, Lily has become good friends with her and I made a new friend named Kai.

He is in many of my classes and we just started to bond over time. He is a bit of a... simp. Not entirely but he does really want a girlfriend. He says I'm all pretty face and one girl has probably already fallen for me. I doubt that. Little does he know...

The class has gone by a bit. It was pretty lackluster with all the lectures.

"Today is so boring.." I heard Kai mutter in his seat.

"Yeah, it's kind of boring today," I say in response.

The teacher got a call and walked outside the classroom to answer it.

Kai leaned towards me. "What do you think the call is about?"

"How am I supposed to know?" I shrugged my shoulders.

After a few minutes, he came back into the classroom. The class was just waiting for another academic lecture or something fun.

"Class, a rift has opened up in the city letting out D Ranked Monsters. The surrounding area has been evacuated and the monsters has been rounded up into a small plaza. They want our class to go over there and get some experience. Get ready." The teacher explained.

There was a small moment of silence probably from shock. Then the class erupted into cheers.

"That's so cool!"
