Mysterious Power

Chapter 6

Another question popped up in my head to ask Kevin, but just then, the bell rang. We had all the classes together. I think he'd planned this too...or the Highness. Which was my dad. Why did he leave me there dying? Why didn't he save mom? Did he send Tati to live with me? Everyone left me in darkness. I feel so alone. I feel like crying. I need my mom...I WANT my mom.

Thank god, Liz came by me when I was going to my nxt class. I was about to cry. Hearing all this crap. Liz "What happened?" She must've looked at my face because I didn't look happy. I mean I didn't have the same look on my face as I would everyday. Which was just calm. I was about to tell her everything, but remembered this was a secret and had to be kept as one. I said "It's...it's nothing." Thanks for the bell because it rang right before Liz could ask me anything else about it. I went quickly to my next class. If I was late, Mr. Bennett would've given me detention. Actually, it would have been good. I needed a quiet peaceful place to relax, but I couldn't explain it to Tati.

Today was a long day. I kept thinking about everything that Kevin told me. Finally when school ends, I go outside and see Kevin there with his friends. He looks at me, and comes toward me. When he's right in front of me, he smiles hugely and says "I'll walk home with you today, I live near you anyways."

Me "Was that also planned?" I guessed he knew what I was talking about because he didn't ask me about the also part. Kevin "Yeah, I tried to find a house closer to you and Tatiana." After a while, I went into my world...in my mind thinking. I have to go to Hawaii, and ask all those questions I had to, to my dad...The Highness, I mean. I forgot that Kevin could read minds because right after I said that, he says "You don't need to go there, your dad will come meet you."I wasn't happy about it. I had to know more about him for me to like him. For me to consider him as a father. For now, Highness is okay.

Kevin "Your dad isn't as bad as you think. I mean He's not even bad."

I yelled "IS THAT WHY HE COULD'NT SAVE MY MOM? IS THAT WHY HE DIDN'T COME TO ME? IS THAT WHY HE DIDN'T SAVEEE ME FROM DYING? IS THAT WHY HE LEFT ME TO FREAKING HAWAII?" Kevin gave me a hug. I didn't realize I started crying. I cried in his shoulder, happy that there was someone with me, but he was sent be my father...too.
