5: He loved you

Y/N slowly chews her food and unexpectedly.. it tastes better than her old school foods.

"This shit is better than my old school food." 

"Really?" He laughed. And once again Y/N  mentally facepalmed. "I forgot to get your name."

"I am Hinata Shoyo, first year student!" 

She widen her eyes a bit realizing that he have same name as her angel friend and smirks hearing that, "then I am your senpai! I am Y/N L/N transfer student." His eyes glitter, "ohh how is it then?"

"It's my first day and it.. is boring. You want to know my school?" He nods with enthusiasm.

She chuckles and said, "to be honest I also don't know."

"Eh?" He tilted his head.

"Because I only skip classes or just sleep." He formed an 'oh' and said, "for real?" And she repeated his word, "for real."

"I've never experienced skipping classes." He informed with his mouth full of food which made his cheeks puffed. It is honestly.. cute. 

"Oh what a good boy, you are." He covered half of his face using his left hand, and wave the other hand like he's denying it. It makes him more cooler. 

She parted her hair and Hinata saw some small holes on her ear, "do you have piercing..? it looks like you have more than one."

"Uhuh.." She part her hair on the right side and point her ear, "this is three.." she part her hair once again but on different side, "this is two." She can see that he is amazed and in her head she said '.. truly a cute boy..' 

She always met rough men and she is amazed to see a different side, someone who radiates 'innocent' charm. "Does it hurt?" She shake her head. "not at all it just felt like.. you got bitten by an ant but the ant size is just like dinosaur."

"Oh."

"Okay, that's an exaggeration." Both laugh and let each other examine each other. On Hinata Shoyo's perspective the woman's sharp eyes is pretty. At first it looks scary but she have playful energy, but he can already tell that she receive a lot of comment that she have 'mean' face. But having mean face won't make her less beautiful, in fact she is pretty just like the team's manager.

"By the way do you play sports?" It took her a minute to answer. "do I play... hmm" it seems like she is asking herself, "I think I am learning.. volleyball, I'm learning these past weeks." 

"Ohhh what a coincidence! I also play! I am middle blocker!" She clap her hands with enthusiasm, "that's wonderful!!" 

"Oh can you give me some tips?" She tap her chin, "my timing isn't that great but I think I am getting better! Later, I'll also sign up on women volleyball club" 

"That's good to know! I'll ask others too, I'm sure they could help."

"mhm" She smile to him brightly and maybe.. someone can pair on the orange oddball smile.

Y/N arrived at the higher floor and asked for the women volleyball club captain, she heard that the club aren't like volleyball men club because their determination to win is very different and the women volleyball club don't practice as often as the other.

But she doesn't care about that. If that means she have to push each member then she'll do that. Also the captain is close to Daichi Sawamura which will be important for her. 

She knock on their class and manage to take Yui Michimiya attention, the captain of the club, she have a stain on her uniform and a bit messy hair, Y/N bow to her which made her panic a bit.

"you want to join to the club.. but.." She is so hesitance, "I'll be blunt to be honest it isn't fine, lack of practices means I cannot hone my ability." That is something she did not expect from her kouhai, "I am also amateur, just learned all of this stuff just this month but I still want to learn so please guide me." She demanded.

Y/N cursed again that she did not even give her name and yet she is so demanding. "Uhh.. I see.. uhm let's see each other on gym we'll guide you." She smiled even though it look awkward.

"I'm Y/N L/N, thank you.. senpai" 

"I am Yui Michimiya, nice to meet you."

Before they could bid a goodbye a man interrupt them, "oh Yui-" He stop when he see a person he did not recognize, "oh did I interrupt something.." He whispered under his breath after he got closer. "no, no, th-this is my kouhai! She's planning on joining to our club!" Yui informed.

"Oh! That's good to hear!" He exclaimed, "I am Daichi Sawamura, the captain of the boys volleyball club."

She knows, but still nod. "I am Y/N L/N" Her unsettling eyes made him flinch added the fact the he heard the last name of his.. old friend. "are you second year student? and do you.. are you related to B/N L/N"

It took two minutes for her to give him a clear answer, "yes, I am a second-year and he is my brother." That surprised him, "so he have a sister.." He mumbled.

"I think y-you two need privacy.." Yui suggested sensing a tension, she heard Daichi's old friend that passed away few months ago and seeing a relative must be really hard.

They did what just Yui suggested, they also have a lot of time so it won't be hard. 

"Uhmm L/N-san.." She looked at him and give him a smile, "how are you? It's just surprising he never told me that he have a sister."

"Not a lot also know I have a brother. I also left before the visitors and my distant relative see his cold body. I don't entertain guests." 

"Ah.. I wish you'll have a great time learning this sport." 

"I will, because my brother told me." He give her a small tap on the back of her shoulder, "if you ever.. having a problem please you can take a rest.. even it is 5 months ago I know it is still fresh." He don't know where he is getting this words or maybe he just taken care a lot of younger people that he knows some word to push them.

"you can let it out.."

"I see.. I see now." He tilted his head on the side, "I think I get it"

"What do you mean.. L/N-san?" She see the hesitation of the man calling her last name, "he liked you." She said softly.

"And I think I can see why" She read his other diary full of his love to the older man, the first to know his feelings toward to the captain is his diary, she can see the dedication and adoration, she even tried to watch some of his play and she guessed one of the reason why he loved the man is because of his passion.

"I study to this school for my brother and I'll tell you this for my brother too, he liked you- no I think he loved you because I don't think there is no 'happy' crush where you almost give yourself to him and wait for 3 years." He let her words sink in.

"I don't know what your feeling is towards to my brother but I think I get the half of it.. I am also here to thank you for taking care of my brother."

'Whenever I am not on his side, you are there, I thank you for that.' She added on her thought. "That's all I wanted to say, the wound is still fresh but I know yours isn't any different. You can ask me some stuff about him to me.. and I'll try to answer it."

She left him without receiving any word, but.. it doesn't matter. Her work is done, she is a little bit closer on fulfilling some of his wishes.
