7: Getting to know each other!

"Hina-chan, do you want a lollipop?" She asked while trying to look for a lollipop that drowned because of books and notebooks on her back. 

"..." She did not receive any response so she looked at his direction, "what?"

Ah.. he's flustered.

"Ah, I got mixed it up. I have a friend, her name is also Hinata and that's her nickname, hope that doesn't bother you." Hinata waves his hands, "no no it's okay, I am just surprised!"

"Do you want a nickname?" Y/N smiled at him, "can I?" He's excited to have one, well he really looks forward to this one since his nickname is always 'shrimp' 'shorty' 'chibi-chan' obviously uncool nicknames.

"You are my friend, of course, you can have one." Now, instead of looking for her lollipop she is now holding her chin and looking at the ceiling.

"Does answers pop up on the ceilings?" He jokes which earned an 'irk' from her, "quiet, I am thinking a cute one."

"Hina... ta-chan.. shoyo... uhh" Her head turn to his figure, "can I call you Shoyo?" Hinata hesitated but for past few weeks they have been doing a lot of things together to get to know each other. 

"Sure! Then I get to call you Y/N?" 

"Yes! Sho-chan! That's your name now!" 

His face turns red, he did not expect that the nickname will be a cute one.

She lean forward after hearing the captain's next words, using her other hand she cover her upper face and release a sigh, "L/N-san, is there a problem?" Manami asked, "I'm fine" She replied after putting away her hand covering her upper face, she look away and bit her lips.

'This will be awkward.'

The team is known for being weak and it is surprising that the coach of the male volleyball club asked to have practice match with them. But they won't complain, it is still good opportunity! There should be no problem, but it is different to Y/N case.. Daichi and her never crossed path again, it could be that the former is avoiding her after sudden confession and she reached on the conclusion that it will be awkward if they see each other again.

"I can't wait to see how much we improve!" Manami exclaimed which made everyone agree, "I also cannot wait to show off  Y/N" Mao added which made Y/N deadpanned, "hey, I'm not painting in museum to show off." 

"Ohh but you are greater than those painting!" Nozomi exclaimed which made Y/n raised her chin and raised her eyebrow, she has unreadable expression and suddenly smirk, "that can be smoother if you practice your tone." That made her sulk.

"Hey hey let's change our clothes now! We'll have a practice soon!" The captain ordered and all obeyed.

On the other side, the boys are really surprised to what the coach suggested, but they don't find it as a problem, it's more like they are interested. 

"Ohh that's cool! I get to see, Y/N-san!" Kageyama and Daichi stared at the shorter boy, "what's her position?" Kageyama asked, he is curious on what she can do, but won't admit it too. "ohh.." Kageyama only raised his eyebrow, "I think I did not ask it.."

"Hinata, you are stupid!" Kageyama insulted which made Hinata rolled his eyes, "don't you have a better insult?!" 

"Stop fighting, the other team will come soon." The coach reminded them. 

"Hey, hey, who is Y/N?" The second year, Tanaka asked, "it's my friend! she is really amazing!" 

15 minutes and the girls already appeared, there are one new face that they think is 'Y/N'. Tanaka look at Hinata, "that's Y/N? Shit I did not expect that.." He cannot finish the next words. But they can tell what he is saying. She is beautiful.
