After we finished eating, he quickly cleared the table and washed the dishes.

I wanted to help with the washing, but he insisted he didn’t want me to move too much.

Once he had finished washing the plates, he put on his white polo shirt and walked over to me, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"Tara na." Ngiting sabi nito sa akin at hinalikan ako sa pisnge ko, naka ngiting tumango na lang ako sa kaniya bilang sagot.

Sabay kaming lumabas sa penthouse nila, inaalalayan niya pa ako sa pag lalakad ko sa pamamagitan ng pag hawak sa baywang ko.

"Susumbong talaga kita kay daddy." I whispered under my breath, but it seemed he heard me because he chuckled.

I felt tears welling up as I took a few steps; the pain in my abdomen made moving difficult.

“Wifey, I’ll just carry you,” Theodore said, stopping and kneeling down behind me.

“What are you doing?” I asked, surprised, glancing around to see if anyone was nearby.

“Come on, wifey. Hop onto my back,” he replied.

I didn’t have much choice but to obey him, so I climbed onto his back. I wasn’t too heavy, so why not?

He stood up, letting out a fake groan as if I were a great burden.

"You're so heavy, wifey." Pag iinarte niya.

My heart raced rapidly, filled with anxiety for reasons I couldn’t quite place. What if my dad scolded me for being with Theodore?

I glanced at Theodore; even though I was on his back, I could see his expression clearly. He looked serious as he walked, almost as if he was in another world.

His face showed different reactions, and I couldn’t help but wonder what was going through his mind at that moment. What was he thinking?

Theodore stopped in front of the door to my dad's penthouse.

“Hubby, put me down,” I pouted, hoping to get him to comply.

He glanced back at me with a sweet smile that made me feel like ice cream melting in the sun!

Instead of lowering me, he grasped the doorknob and turned it, opening the door.

I buried my face in the nape of his neck, closing my eyes tightly as we stepped inside.

As he walked into the penthouse, a few seconds later, he came to a stop.
