11th March 2014 (St. Petersburg, Russia)
The Russian skaters' morning had started on a weird note, well, one weirder than usual, that is. Weirdness wasn't a rare occurrence for the Russian team.
Victor was reviewing his free skate and Georgi was waiting for his turn on the rink by the barrier, when Mila burst inside, slamming the doors wide open, startling the other two skaters.
Thankfully, Victor had simply been trying out his step sequence and not a jump. He paused and stared at the red-haired girl. "Mila?" He tilted his head to the side, eyebrows furrowing in confusion.
Unfortunately, Georgi had been a little less lucky than Victor and promptly tumbled onto the ice as soon as he heard the doors slam open.
The black-haired Russian groaned and held onto the barrier to stand up. "What's up with you today?" He grumbled as rubbed his back, before stepping off the ice and grabbing his skate guards, followed by a bemused Victor.
They approached the girl, who looked shocked but the two adults could see the hint of amusement in her eyes. She was panting, as if she had run all the way to the rink, even though she knew that it was not her turn on the ice.
She didn't answer them right away, instead, she started at the phone screen for a few seconds.
Mila then tapped on her phone a few times before turning it around to allow Victor and Georgi to see the screen, which showed a picture on Yuri Plisetsky's Instagram profile.

The two older Russians shared the same, identical, looks of incredulity on their faces. Their eyes were wide and their mouths agape.
After a few minutes of staring at the screen, finally, Georgi came back to life and pointed his index finger to Mila's phone. "Yura has never taken a picture with someone else!" He almost screeched in shock.
Then, he looked at the post once again, now focusing on the comments. "And since when does he speak Japanese!? " This time, Georgi actually screeched, much to Mila's dismay, who had to cover her ears. "How would I know?" She grumbled.
Thanks to Georgi's screech, the silver-haired skater finally snapped back to reality. "Japanese?!" He shrieked. Having enough shame to have a sheepish look when the red-haired girl sent a harsh glare his way. Victor then remembered something, letting out a small gasp, before staring at Mila in wonder. "Who's that guy?" He asked as he pointed to the Asian man beside the blonde skater on the screen. "I've never seen him before." Stated Victor, cupping his chin with his left hand.
