I watched his daughter walk out of the house and sighed.  What a drama queen.  I can't believe that he chose to keep the kid after all we've been through.  I looked at him, taking a step closer as he backed up a little.  He looked uncomfortable as he sat down on his couch.  I walked to sit next to him but he pulled up a chair across from him and pointed for me to sit.

"Allen.  What was that? Your daughter has to have some sort of respect.  Our daughter was raised much better." I said, leaning in close to him, making sure he felt uneased.  He backed up, sitting as far away as possible.  I pouted, leaning back in my chair.  He looked shaken, and started to speak.

"Look, Marinda, I told you I wasn't ready for you guys to meet.  I was going to prepare her, you know, she doesn't know about us.  And don't you dare bring our children into this right now.  I had a fight with her before and I guess she's pissed, I don't know!"  He rambled, not meeting my eyes once.  I suddenly thought of our children.

"What about Trent.  What about Nina?  What about John?  Our children never get to see you.  Ever.  Why does she get to have you all to herself, and your other children become fatherless?"  I asked, trying to strike a nerve.  It's about time he thought about us.  I stared at him as I played with my bright red hair.  He watched me twirl it, it looked almost as if he was hypnotized, and I sighed again.

"Marinda.  I told you now is not the time.  I want you to go.  You are being unreasonable, and you aren't welcome here at the moment."  He said standing and walking to the door.  He opened it, pointing outside, waiting for me to leave.  I stood up, slowly, strolling to the door.  He watched me cautiously, making sure to keep a huge distance from me.  I walked to the door frame and stood there for a minute.

"I love you" I whispered to him.  To the man I loved for the past twenty years.  He suddenly looked extraordinarily tired.  He did not reply, just closed the door when I walked out.

I left his house, and walked towards my new black corolla.  It wasn't the most beautiful car, but it worked well.  I drove to my house to see my children, our children, running out the door to greet me.

"Mommy, where were you?"  my youngest, John asked.  He turned five a few weeks ago.  He smiled up at me, taunting me with his similar looks to his father.  I smiled and lifted him into a hug.

"I went to visit daddy.  He said he misses you guys."  I lied.  One little lie wouldn't hurt them.  He smiled and ran back to the door.  I followed him inside, and closed the door.  I hugged little seven year old Trent, and went up to my daughter to greet her.  She turned fourteen three months ago, and  was now playing on her computer.  I suddenly remembered that Jordan turned fourteen yesterday.  I remembered that Allen had sex with that "wife" of his right after he did with me.  I grew angrier, but quickly smiled to Nina.  She looked at me, and continued playing her video game or what ever.  So much for more respectful.  I walked up the stairs to get ready for work.  I have work everyday, at a club.  My children and Allen think I work at some rundown restaurant or something.  I took out my little doctor's out fit and put it on.  I then threw on an over outfit, and walked back downstairs.  I smiled at the kids, telling Nina to watch them, and walked out the door.  I walked to the car thinking about Jordan.  How her perfect blond hair matched her perfect eyes.  She is going to pay for taking my guy from me and my kids, that's for sure.  As I walked to the car, I saw my dad walking towards my house.  I waved and he smiled back.  I looked away from his mouth, where I knew where every missing tooth was, and started the car once I got inside.  Oh yes, she is going to pay.
