The next morning.

Pope woke up with a severe headache, he really shouldn't of smoked so much weed.
He grumbled as his eyes met Kie and Lexi's body, they were still curled up on a make shift sofa.
He realised where he was straight away, Kie's restaurant.
"Morning" Pope sniffed looking at JJ who looked like he'd sobered up.

The blonde was playing with his lighter.
"Morning" JJ didn't look back at Pope, he instead kept his eyes focused in front of him, looking out at the weather.
"He's totally been caught man" JJ nodded towards the sirens and Pope shook his head.
"No. They wouldn't still be patrolling if they caught him" Pope leaned over looking out the door, his eyes gazing left and right.

It fell silent between the boys.
"Last night- you kissed Lexi" Pope was curious, they'd all noticed how Lexi and JJ act together even before her Kook life.
John b practically wanted them to get married, Kie didn't see it, neither did Pope that is until he heard what John b said when JJ stole the drug money and the kiss last night.
"Yeah" JJ coughs , his body awkwardly shifting away from his friend.

"So are you guys?" Pope pointed to the brunette girl led down and then back to JJ.
"Nah, I'm not a relationship guy. You know that" JJ scoffed biting his cheek, Pope's eyes narrowed on him.
"It's ok if you want it JJ, it's ok to want something for yourself" Popes hand lay on JJ shoulder, the blonde pushed away quickly.
"It's not about that ok, just leave it. We have other shit to deal with" JJ pointed towards the noise of the cops in the distance.

Pope frowned sadly, JJ always did this. He wasn't a relationship guy because he thinks he doesn't deserve it, it's better to be free and be an asshole then mess up with someone you actually like.
"You know we were in that car. They're probably looking for us too." Kie had sat up, her eyes looked heavy as she yawned.
She gently taps Lexi who turns grumbling "well if we're gunna be outlaws" Lexi sat up stretching her back.

"We might as well help John b" she finished off her sentence as she finished her stretch.
JJ avoided her gaze, she didn't understand why? Last night he was all over her, asking her if they were together and now he won't even look in her direction.
"So find him before they do?" JJ looked towards Pope, he was the smartest he'd know what to do.
"Pope?" Kie called after him as he strutted out the restaurant.
"I'm gonna go get gas for the boat" his voice was cold.

"Be careful ok" Kie stopped him with her voice, they both stood there just staring at each other. Lexi and JJ picked up on it instantly, Lexi couldn't help but turn to JJ, he obviously thought the same thing, they both pulled
'I dunno' faces before looking back at the couple.
"Meet me at the doc at three. Don't be late" Pope turned one last time to jj.
The blondes eye brows raise in confusion, he totally just ignored Kie.

Lex Pov.
Kie jumped off the desk she was sitting on following Pope.
"Ok what is your problem?" I could hear her agitated voice from inside.
Me and Jj just stood uncomfortably in the restaurant.
"No problem, officer. I'm just doing my job" Pope snapped back, oh god this is not the time to be turning on each other.

"Look I'm sorry that I hurt your feelings!" Both of us start to walk out as we hear Pope start the engine of JJ's bike.
"What was that?" Pope reved the gears, purposely drowning Kie's voice.
"Look I didn't mean to" Kie shrugged her shoulders, I felt bad for the girl. I didn't know what went on but Pope was being an ass.
"Sorry I can't hear you, what was that?" He spoke again, making the bike louder.
"Pope, I'm serious" Kie shouted over the top of the noise.

"I'm trying to talk to you!" She yelled, Pope suddenly speeds off up the road not even looking at Kie.
"What was that about?" JJ leaned over the wooden banister, his hat flipped back.
Kie rolled her eyes at the boy, her gaze however turned towards the sky as we heard a helicopter.
"Who the hell is that?" We all look behind us, our eyes following the helicopter as it disappeared.
