Chapter 2
“Really Matthew,” I yelled as I walked into his office. He was sitting at his desk, his head under the desk. “What, Oww,” he yelled as he hit his head on his desk. “Sorry, I dropped my pen,” he said, emerging from under his desk, holding a light blue pen in triumph. “Really,” I asked, an eyebrow raised, gesturing to the other twenty pens on his desk. He shrugged. “I like this pen.”
I rolled my eyes. “Whatever. Back to real business. You actually signed a contract to gather information for a murder,” I asked. Mathew nodded. “I didn’t realize what I was signing for. I just knew that One Direction and a lot of money was involved,” he replied. “I’m just in it for the money,” I said sitting on the chair in front of his desk.
He nodded and said, “Same here.”
“So, what exactly am I supposed to do,” I asked, crossing arms.
“Oh, well, let me see,” He said, rummaging in his desk, and pulling out a vanilla folder, stuffed with papers. He pulled out some photographs. “These are the boys you will be with, Niall James Horan, Zayn Javadd Malik, Liam James Payne, Harry Edward Styles, and Louis William Tomlinson. You will be posing as an obsessed fan who won a week with One Direction, yippee,” he said without much enthusiasm. I sighed. “Let me guess,” I started, “I have to memorize all their song lyrics, and everything and anything to do with these boys personal lives?”
“That’s what obsessed fans do,” he replied with a nod. Great, I have homework. Not in the job description. Who am I kidding, when you’re a spy, there isn’t a job description. “Here is the file,” Matthew said, handing me the folder. “Oh,” he added as I was starting to leave his office,” You meet the lads tomorrow, so be prepared.”
“Tomorrow,” I yelled. “How am I supposed to learn like twenty song lyrics, these boys’ names, birthdays, and their whole lives in a night,” I asked unbelievably. He shrugged and grinned lazily at me. “Because you are a hardworking, beautiful, smart young lady-“
“Stop the crappy complimenting, I’ll do it,” I muttered cutting him off. He laughed and waved me out of his office. I’m a nine-teen year old adult, and I’m expected to learn five famous boys life stories for my job. I am such a screwed up mess. ( ßOne Direction Lyric!!)
