"Niall,” I murmured as he led me to the dock where the boat was. “Yes love,” he asked, kissing my cheek. “How did you do all of this, how did you ever even think about it” I asked, gesturing to the romantic setting. He rubbed the back of his neck. “Well you see,” he said awkwardly, “I’ve been planning this moment since the day I met you.” I raised an eyebrow, and laughed when his cheeks blushed a cute shade of pink.

“I think that’s absolutely and incredibly sweet,” I whispered into his ear. He grinned. “Come on then! This date has begun,” he exclaimed brightly and I giggled. Niall lifted me up and placed me into the boat, even though I could have gotten in perfectly fine by myself. Niall hopped in after me, causing the boat to shake a bit. He picked up the oars that were on the bottom of the boat and put them in the water, pushing forward to move us gently through the water.

“Why didn’t we just walk around the lake,” I asked him. He seemed as if he has never rowed a boat before. “I thought this would be more romantic,” he grunted, clearly straining with the amount of force needed to propel the boat forward. I laughed. “Yes Niall, seeing you all sweaty is very romantic. Here let me,” I told him, asking for the oars. He shook his head so I just snatched them out of his hands.

I easily pushed us through the water. Niall frowned. “I was supposed to do that, I’m supposed to be the strong one,” he said, and I just grinned. “I could probably beat you at arm wrestling Niall. I’m a strong little girl,” I told him truthfully. I have to be able to win a fight in the spy business. Which I have done before, more than twice. He grumbled something about how it wasn’t fair, but I just laughed and leaned over and pecked him on the lips.

Well, it was just supposed to be a peck, but Niall had other ideas. He pressed our lips together a little harder and kept them locked. We moved our mouths in sync for a few minutes, deepening the kiss. I pulled away and smiled. I felt a bump and realized that we were at the other side of the lake. I grinned and laced my hand in Niall’s. We got out of the boat and I took in the romantic view again.

The pavilion had lace hanging from the ceiling, coming down gracefully. In the center the pavilion there was a round table se t for two. It had red and white roses in a vase in the center, and lacey tablecloth. There were candles hanging in the pavilion, but they appeared to be floating in midair. There were more candles in the grass leading to the pavilion.

I hugged Niall again, enjoying the warmth of his body. When I pulled back, we were both smiling. He laced our fingers together and led me to the table. He pulled my chair out for me, and I rolled my eyes as I took my seat. “You’re a gentleman,” I teased and he just shrugged. “A girl like you deserves a gentleman,” he said and I blushed.

Niall reached under the table and brought out a silver platter with a little top on top, like in the movies. I giggled at the sight and he raised an eyebrow. “Voila,” he said, taking of the top and setting it to the side. He set the platter on the table top and I smiled. There was one plate of spaghetti or us to share and breadsticks.

“Dig in,” Niall said picking up his fork and sticking a strand of spaghetti into his mouth. I picked mine up and started eating too. We made easy conversation as we ate, talking about our families (my side of the conversation was mostly lies) and other things. Niall put another piece of spaghetti in his mouth when I did, and it appeared that we were both eating the same piece. I watched it rise between us and I raised an eyebrow at Niall.

“My spaghetti,” I said sternly. Niall shook his head teasingly and I sighed. Looks like I must fight for my food. I quickly leaned over the table and started sticking the rest of the strand that we both had in our mouths in my mouth, and Niall leaned over to press his lips against mine. The spaghetti was quickly forgotten and as I pressed our lips harder together. Our tongues danced, playfully darting at each other.

Niall pulled away, a grin on his face. “Want desert,” he asked. I raised an eyebrow. “Wasn’t that kiss desert,” I asked. He laughed and shook his head. He reached under the table again and pulled out another silver platter. He removed the top to reveal a big bowl of ice cream, with little bowls of toppings on the side, two spoons resting neatly next to the bowls. I frowned and looked under the table.

“Is there a magical place down here where glorious food is made,” I questioned, sitting back in my chair. Niall laughed again and shook his head. “Nope it was made by my glorious chef. Aka Harry,” he told me, muttering the last part. I laughed and picked up a spoon. Niall grinned evilly. He dipped his finger in the whipped cream, leaned over to me, and wiped it on my nose. “Hey,” I exclaimed, trying to use my tongue to lick it off, but my nose was too far away. Niall laughed at the sight and I sighed in frustration.

“Here let me get it,” Niall said, and leaned over once more. I thought he was just going to wipe it off but instead he licked it off, causing me to blush a deep shade of red. Niall laughed and an idea crossed my mind. I picked up some whipped cream and smeared a little on my lips. “Niall can you get this off for me too,” I asked, winking at him. He laughed, but leaned over anyways. I felt his breath on my cheek as he licked the whipped cream off my lips and I smiled, leaning in and kissing him for the hundredth time that night. More like the fourth time.

Niall and I finished eating (after many whipped cream wars) and he took my hand. “There’s still more,” he murmured. I followed him as he led me through yet another maze of trees. What if he was coming out here to kidnap me, leading me deeper and deeper into the woods. But this was Niall we were talking about, he would never do that!

Niall and I entered a little clearing and I looked around. On the soft green grass there were a few blankets and pillows set up. Then I noticed the white projection screen hanging from the trees, and a little projector on the ground. “Are we going to watch a movie,” I asked him. He nodded and I smiled saying, “A movie in the woods that sounds nice.”

I lay down on the soft blankets comfortably, and Niall pressed a button on the projector and lay next to me. I snuggled up next to him and he wrapped his arms protectively around me. “What movie are we watching,” I asked. He shushed me and said, “It’s starting love.”

I looked up to the screen and instantly recognized the movie classic, “The Titanic”. Great, I thought as I leaned my head on Niall’s chest. For some reason, I always cry when watching this movie.

"Winning that ticket Rose was the best thing that ever happened to me. It brought me to you. And I'm thankful for that Rose. I'm Thankful,” Jack said on the screen and I buried my face into Niall chest crying. This whole movie makes me so emotional!

When the movie ended, Niall turned to look at me adoringly. “Did you like the movie love,” he asked me, gently taking my hand. I nodded and laid my head on his chest, hearing his heartbeat. I felt Niall take my hand with one hand, and run his fingers through my hair with the other. “Jocelyn,” Niall whispered. I looked up at him and saw love and determination in his eyes. I smiled quizzically at him and asked, “Yes Niall?”

He took in a breath and asked me quietly, “Do you want to be my girlfriend?” I was shocked at first, my mouth hanging slightly open, and my eyes wide. I didn’t reply for a few moments and hurt flashed onto Niall’s features. I hated seeing Niall hurt. I leaned up and kissed his lips, slowly and softly, pouring as much emotion as I could into that one kiss. “Yes Niall, I’ll be your girlfriend,” I whispered, nuzzling my face into the crook of his neck. I felt him kiss my forehead and lean back, sighing from happiness.
