"Hey, what are you guys doing here?" I asked them the moment I opened the door to my house.
It has been a week since I've gotten a swelling jaw and a wounded lip; fortunately it's all healed up now. I'm so thankful for that because I'll be meeting the boy's manager tomorrow and I don't want them to see me having those injuries. I've been practicing alone this past few days since the boys are unavailable due to some of their shows here in Chicago and I chose not to go with them, I really have to get ready for this.
"We thought that maybe you're getting nervous for tomorrow's meeting so we decided to take you out tonight." Pete said to me and I let them inside my house.
"You're right about me getting nervous but we don't have to go out. I mean, what about your plan?" I asked them.
"Meh, screw that from now. We've been leaving you alone these past few weeks, give us this night to make it up to you. Besides its just dinner." Joe said.
I guess they're right, besides they look like regular people tonight too, just simple teenage boys with a normal teenage girl. Yeah, that's just how I'll look at this.
"Mmkay. Let's go?" I said to them cheerfully and I grabbed my jacket before going out.
The weather here in Chicago had been getting colder and colder and I'm afraid that I'll get sick from it. I'm really not used to cold weather like this considering the fact that I just grew up in a tropical country but I hope my body adjust to the temperature because I know that I'd be spending a lot of time in countries with such weather like this.
Andy just drove his car to the nearest mall from my house and parked there. The moment the four of them went down the car, I can already see people looking at them.
"Are you really sure that this is okay? Me being with you in a public place?" I asked again, I'm honestly feeling uneasy but the boys keep on insisting.
"Just don't mind them, if they ask I'll say you're my cousin and we're just showing you around." Patrick told me while walking towards inside the mall.
"With the whole 'Fall Out Boy'? Yeah, they'd buy that story Martin." I said to him.
"Then we'd say we're all your cousin." Joe joined in and we laughed.
"Stop worrying too much. We're eating at the best pizza place here in Chicago!" Pete said. "Pizza! Pizza! Pizza!" he began chanting the moment we enter the pizza place inside the mall.
Fortunately, there are not much people inside the mall but somehow I'm feeling an uneasy; feeling that we're being watched. I don't know if I just grew paranoid since that encounter with those paparazzi or there's really someone watching us. I've been looking everywhere, trying to find any suspicious person but in vain; maybe I'm just being too paranoid.
"You okay Winona?" Patrick suddenly asked me. We're now sitting inside the pizza place waiting for our order.
