It's just been two months but it felt like it's been years since she's been with us. Even though that we still are on tour, every time we go back to Chicago we're always with her and I could say that she's getting better and better each time we rehearse. The crew that workshops her says that she's really good too and we've all expected that. We just need a little more rehearsal before we could face the producers.
Riley and I had been the closest since we're always talking on the phone and texting, not as fan-to-idol talking but between a friend and a friend talking. I really enjoy the fact that she's calling me Martin even though I haven't really used that name before. And I know she also likes it when I call her Winona and phoenix girl.
I'm also feeling guilty every time we leave her in Chicago for our tour, she's probably feeling lonely there and also whenever we got back we just hang-out in the recording studio since we don't want public to see her with us; we want to surprise the young bloods about her. But of course, since we have a New year concert here in Chicago, we promised that we won't leave her alone so we brought her with us and she's all out excited to see us perform on stage again. Her fan girl feels are exploding now.
"Sugar, we're going down swinging!" both of us sang together as we heard Andy saying 'we're going down.' "Good luck boys! Find me in the mosh pit later!" she said and then we went down the bus.
The crowd welcomed us with their screams and we proceeded to the backstage of the coliseum to get ready.
"Is it safe for her to get off of the bus alone at this time?" Joe asked. I was worried too, since it's already dark outside and she's all alone, people are inside the coliseum too so if there's trouble no one would see her. But I hope nothing like that would happen.
"The girl is brave and strong. Stop worrying guys! It's New Year's Eve, everything will be fine!" Pete said but I can hear the doubt on his voice. But I do really hope that everything will be fine.

Six songs. We've already played six songs but I still can't find her anywhere in the mosh pit. I'm trying so hard, even listening to her voice but I know she's not in there and I'm worrying so much! We've already took two breaks and we already sent someone out to check on her, I'm not over-reacting since the others are getting worried too. This is not like her.
"Richard says that she just felt sick and decided not to go down the bus. She says she's sorry." One of the security guard said and we were relieved but I find it odd that suddenly she felt sick. She's so lively and excited earlier, she wouldn't miss this event for the world but then again maybe she just really felt sick.
"Stop worrying Patrick. We just have to end this and later we'll have a party. Surely she'll be fine at that time." Joe told me and I just nodded at him. Just finish the concert so we could check on her but of course she wouldn't want us to hurry and mess up this event.
I just calmed myself and proceeded to play and sing with the boys, giving the audience the time of their lives.
Maybe one and a half hour have passed, the event was done so as the meet and greet. We could finally go back in our bus and check is Riley's really okay. I'm still worrying about her.
I and the boys are walking towards the bus and suddenly I noticed fragments of a broken camera on the ground near our bus and my heart pounded faster when I saw it. The others have noticed it too and we're looking at each other with worried faces and then we ran towards the bus, opening the door as fast as we could.
No please, not that. Please don't let them be back again.
"Riley!" I called out and I saw her sitting on the driver's seat with her right jaw swelling a little bit but there's a long wound on the right part of her lower lip. I also noticed that one of the guards is near her, probably guarding her from what had harmed her.
