SECTOR 7 ABANDONED ZINC LAB

Underneath the sprawling megastructures is an old complex. Not that big, more or less a research and development laboratory. The lab was owned by a company known as Z.Incorporated, or ZINC for short. ZINC is famous in old history, credited for the discovery of the two revolutionary types of energy; crodeum and zecron energy crystals. Sitting in the labs small room is a Protogen, said Protogen has white fur, green nanites and his side, shoulder and leg displays show a green triangle. This is Dr. Zecron credited with the discovery of zecron energy which he named after himself. Now isolating himself from the world for an unknown reason.

His ears twitch as he hears the knock on the door, he spins around on his swivel chair and checks the security footage, he sees Kira on the monitor and presses a button which unlocks the door, allowing here to enter. He hears her run down the stairs, Kira throws open the door and runs into the room, "Zecron!" she exclaims as she runs forward and throws her arms around him.

"H- hey!" Dr. Zecron exclaims. "I'm busy here!" He blushes and squirms a bit before settling down and allowing her to hug him.

Kira lets go blushing. "Oh! Sorry..." she smiles sheeply as she looks at him. "You haven't left yet!" she looks around the room seeing all the packed cardboard boxes. "But you seem to be packing up..."

Dr. Zecron blinks "I'm leaving soon, in about a day." his tail flicks "Why did you come here?" he leans to the side looking behind her "Were you followed?"

Kira shakes her head "No! Of course not... I'm too sneaky! I snuck all the way here from downtown sector 7!" she smiles obviously proud of herself.

"Oh good..." He leans back in his chair "I suppose your only visiting?" he looks at her.

"Ha! Of course not! I'm staying! I want to spend time with you before you leave!" she sets down the bag she was carrying and smiles.

Dr. Zecron stares at her for a bit before smiling slightly "I suppose it would be rude of me to cut off our friendship here this quickly." he gets up and moves over to the couch at the end of the room positioned in front of a TV. "You wanna watch a movie or something?" as he flops down onto it.

Kira walks over to the couch and sits down next to Dr. Zecron, she sidles up against him and leans her head on his shoulder. "You better have some good movies." she says "I'm not watching that shitty show you have saved on CD called "Squid Game" again."

Dr. Zecron laughs and wraps an arm around her. He flicks the TV on, and just as he is about to switch to external-media, the news pops up.

Television: "A riot has broken out outside of the citadels gate, lead by the civil rights leader of the prominent Anti-Hybrid-Empire group. The leader identifies himself as Max and demands the Empire stop causing needless wars, this demonstration is in response to the Hybrid Empires decision to begin a forceful occupation of a peaceful world called Elysium. H.N.D.U. units are responding. All civilians are to remain indoors."

Dr. Zecrons eyes widen as the city begins to shake... He pulls Kira in closer as she buries her head in his neck fluff.
