09: Seize The Day
Delia wasn't expecting this as a call. They had been called to help a parachute instructor, only he wasn't on the ground.
"It looks like this parachute is snagged on something. He's caught underneath the airplane." Bobby informs them from his binoculars.
" He hasn't said anything on the radio. Might not be conscious." Eddie shrugs from under his aviators.
" Let's hope not, for his sake. That's a memory he's not gonna wanna savor. We assume concussion, possible spinal injury." Chimney turns to his fellow paramedics who are also looking up at the plane.
" And he's getting buffeted by turbulence under the plane."
" We're gonna need to treat him for exposure." Delia speaks up with a nod from her twin.
"Yeah, we haven't talked about how we're getting him down." Buck mutters as Bobby turns to him.
" How's the leg?"
" Uh, screws are out. Feeling great." he shrugs.
" All right. Dispatch, this is Captain 118. Can you get me in that pilot's ear?" Bobby turns back to the Trouble Trio who look at him with an incredulous look.
"For the record, I am still not okay with this plan." Delia sasses as hands the keys to rig over to Mitchell. She gives him a look. "Keep it steady or else." she warns as he gulps thickly.
" Wild one This is Captain Nash, LAFD. Do you copy?"
" Yes, sir, I do. Hope you guys figured out how to land this without killing my friend."
" What kind of headwind reading are you getting today?"
" Around 10 knots."
" I need you to turn into that wind and make an approach." Bobby informs him as Delia is tying a rope to one of the bars on the side of the Firetruck.
"I'm sorry, you want me to land? With Stefan still under the plane?"
"I just need you to get low enough so that we can free you."
" Wait, where are you guys gonna be?"
"Right below you"'
"All right, Cap, we got him. Coming in hot behind us." Buck says into his Radio as Delia is done securing all the ropes, the Trouble Trio were up on top of the engine while it was moving. They were all connected by ropes trying to steady themselves.
"Okay, hang tight and keep your hands ready. Wild One, we're in position."
" I see you. Too high, Cap! Tell him to drop it!"
