Aether's POV:

I look at Ash who is sleeping peacefully on my thigh.

Aether: (What was that?)

Lumine: Is Ash okay?

Aether: I don't know.

Xiao: He didn't tell you two?

Twins: Didn't tell us what?

Kaeya: What you just saw happens a few times a year.

Lumine: 😰

Aether: 😮

Zhongli: I wonder why he didn't tell you two.

Lumine: Ash doesn't tell us dangerous things 😒

Aether: And we don't ask him a lot of questions 😅

Diluc: Well that was interesting but Ash shouldn't sleep out here but he will wake up and attack us if we move him.

Aether: Why can't you wake him up and ask him to move?

Childe: We tried.

I wake Ash up and he looks at me with what I think are tired eyes.

Aether: You should go to bed.

He shakes his head.

Aether: Why not?

Ash: Calming.

He closes his eyes again and I sigh.

Ash: I also have been awake the entire time.

Aether: Ash!

Childe: Oh shit.

Ash chuckles softly and he looks up at the ceiling. I rest a hand on his head and he feels very hot.

Aether: How are you feeling?

Ash: Hot.

Zhongli: We never felt him being hot before so is this a side effect?

Kaeya: Maybe Albedo know?

Diluc: I'll get him.

Diluc leaves and Ash looks at me. He looks focused on something and I run a hand through his hair. The door opens and Diluc with Albedo walks into the room.

Albedo: What do you need me for?

Xiao: Ash feels hot.

Albedo: Oh?

He walks to Ash and he checks Ash. He puts a hand on Ash's forehead and Ash glares at Albedo.

Aether: Ash calm down.

Everyone sees Ash's tail and it is ticking at the tip. I spin a strand of Ash's hair around my finger and Ash looks up at me. Albedo finishes examining Ash and he sighs.

Albedo: I think it's because of Aether but I'm not 100% sure.

Aether: Okay.

Zhongli: Thanks Albedo.

Albedo: No problem.

Albedo leaves and I watch Ash close his eyes.

Aether: Come on.

Aether: Go to bed.

Ash hisses at me and I sigh.

Childe: He isn't going to listen.

I stand up and I hear Ash growl at me. I walk to the door that is laying on the floor.

Ash's POV:

I glare at him and I transform back into my monster form. I walk to him and he picks up the door.

Ash: (Give me attention)

I watch him fix the door and I sit down. I wait for him to be done.

Childe: He's waiting?

Aether: He is?

Aether turns around and sees me sitting down.

Aether: What happened to your face?

I shrug and he sighs. He continues to fix the door and I hear a chair move.

Childe: I can hold it up so you can fix the door hinges.

Aether: Su-

My tail grabs the top of the door and holds it in place.

Aether: Did he tail grow longer?

Xiao: Yea it did.

Childe: Ash really?

I lick my paw and I ignore him. Aether fixes the door hinges and tests the door.

Aether: All fixed.

My tail let's go and it flops to the floor.

Aether: Is your tail okay?

I nod and I stand up.

Ash's mother tried to kill him but she hit his left side of his face so it damaged his whole left side and it's basically a scar. He didn't tell the twins because he doesn't want them to be scared of him.
