Scara’s POV:
Aether goes to his seat and I walk to the back of the classroom. I see some people glaring at me since I walked in with Aether. I sit down at my desk and the teacher walks in with some papers.
Teacher: We will be having a surprise test.
The class groans and I roll my eyes. I glance at Aether and he looks worried. The teacher hands out the test and I hear some people gasp.
Student 1: We didn’t learn this!
Teacher: Well if you didn’t skip my class, you would know that we did.
I quietly chuckle and the class starts the test. Some people tried to cheat but the teacher caught them.
At Lunch
Aether’s POV:
Scaramouche and Xiao waits for me while glaring at each other. I get worried but I don’t stop them. We walk to the VIP area and we get food.
Me: Do you two know each other?
Xiao: Sadly yes.
Scara: Sadly we share the same friends.
They continue glaring at each other and I sigh. We sit down and the others walk over.
?: “Stop glaring, you two.”
I see another boy with them and I tilt my head. He notices me and gasps.
?: Is this who you were talking about, Zhongli?
Zhongli: Correct.
The boy sits across from me.
?: I’m Venti!
Me: Ah hello Venti.
Me: I’m Aether.
Venti: Jeez I haven’t seen you around before.
I see Ash behind Venti.
Ash: He’s new.
Everyone jumps and I smile at Ash.
Venti: Jeez Ash, don’t do that!
Ash: Aether saw me behind you so I don’t care.
Scara: Still terrifying that Ash has a soft spot for Aether.
Venti: Ash has a soft spot for someone?!?
Venti: That’s shocking!
Ash: Shut.
Xiao moves to the side and Ash sits where Xiao was sitting. I lean against Ash and he pats my head.
Aether: *How do Xiao and Scara know each other?*
Ash: Later.
I nod and I start eating. The others also start to eat and I hear Ash sigh in annoyance. I look over at him and he has a dark look on his face.
Me: Is there something wrong, Ash?
Ash looks over at me and shakes his head.
Ash: It’s nothing to worry about.
The others glance at Ash but don’t say anything.
Ash: Scara.
Scaramouche looks over at Ash with a confused look.
Scara: What is it?
Ash: I require your assistance with something.
Scara: Sure.
Scara: When you need my help, I know it will be fun.
