Chapter 9

"And you think letting her stay with me is a good idea? Seriously?"

Naruto asked with a deadpan look on his face as he pointed a hand at Rias, his new housemate, who was standing with Grayfia as the silver haired maid showed her, Ravel and Asia how to cook a lobster in the kitchen. At the moment, he was talking to Venelana via a crimson communication magic circle.

"Have you already forgotten that I am a teacher at the moment and she's my student?"

"Ara, how rich, coming from the shameless teacher who married his own student, who is also MY daughter-" Venelana remarked with half lidded eyes, causing Naruto to look away while smiling nervously and awkwardly. He had to admit that she had a point there.

"But you have to take the differences in customs into-"

But Venelana continued before he could finish: "Zeoticus also told me at Kuoh you showed yourself as the 'genius and charming 17 year old teacher'. While I don't doubt your ability to teach, name one good teacher who does something like that and moreover, isn't also an author of a successful erotic novels."

For a second, Naruto had a smug look on his face. It was as if he had an answer to tell 'his older sister', but then immediately had his mouth shut when he realized that he would give her one of his fake identities instead. "Uhm-"

"And so, I will be leaving my daughter in your care, Naruto-sama." Venelana then said with a soft smile "Take care of Rias and Riria for me. You are the only one I can trust both of my daughters to."

"Woah woah, hold up, what do you mean-" But before he could finish, Venelana had ended the call and her mini-hologram started lowering into the magic circle on the table before fading. Moreover, Naruto could swear that he had caught a small, almost unnoticeable satisfied smirk on her face before the call ended.

"Tch, so this is what it feels like to have an older sister." The blond muttered as he hung his head in defeat for a few seconds before he took the tea tray on the table and walked out of the living room. There's no point thinking too much about it now, since it's not that he minded having Rias living with him.

Unsealing several boxes of foods, three bottles of different flavor milk and a Nintendo switch from a scroll, Naruto put them on the tea tray and headed down to the first basement floor of his home, where he had discovered to have a movie theater, a number of different training rooms and a massive indoor bath.

"Wonder what Grayfia will do with those lobsters... man, I can't wait." The immortal shinobi muttered with a dreamy smile as he left the foods and bottles of milk on the floor in front of the wall near the door leading to the indoor bath before turning around to make his way back to the main house.

Before he took the stairs, making fade away sounds of footstep to make it feel like he had left, Naruto then heard the sound of an activation of a mechanism and leaned his head back to take a peek, smiling when he saw the revelation of a hidden room near the indoor bath. A feminine hand with sharp nails then came out from the inside and pulled the tray along with everything on it into the room before shutting the door, allowing the blond to leave finally without making a sound.

BANG! BANG!

The sound of the start of the ball tournament echoed in the sky. Naruto, who was standing with Asia, looked up and could see dark clouds coming.
