A poem

My heart pounded like the drum

And within half a min I was wet

My fingers trembled

And my mind was set

I couldn't feel my knees and legs

The road ahead became a blur

Butterflies danced around my stomach

And the deepest of desires made a stir

I somehow drove on

And reached the parking lot

I could only see the dark clouds infront

Gathering to see us on the spot

The sweet smell, the tangy taste

And the soft feel of that moment

Crept into my being

And I could no longer wait for the torrent

Then the sky opened itself

And the rain came pouring down

A curtain of water draped on the window

Saving us from onlookers frown

I gave way to my heart

Feeling our breaths hot as never

Showering in that love

It was my best kiss ever.
