SURPRISE! Double post in one day/night?

This is the Cabin wala convo I said I would rewrite...waayyyyy back when.... where Akshu pissed me off with her lack of understanding and obsessive family jaap. She's family oriented and I love that but that doesn't mean she has to be insensitive to Abhi's emotions here!! Toh as a recap the first little bit is literally from the episode. I'll mark where I begin to rewrite the scene with an *.  And yes I know my titles suck but oh well!😅

Enjoy Reading💖

"Mujhe apni shaadi mein family ke sabhi log chahiye." Akshara insisted for what felt like the hundredth time in the past week.

Abhimanyu took a deep breath and leaned forward trying to keep calm.

"Sab honge. Sab! Lekin Sir nahi honge." He stood firmly on his position. After all, Sir was neither happy with this relationship nor would he give them his blessings. What was the point in inviting drama and giving him the chance to further insult his Akshu?

"Abhi woh tumhare liye Sir honge, par mere liye woh mere hone wale Sasur hai. Sasur Pita saman hote hai. Mere Papa nahi hai, main tumhare Papa ko khona nahi chahti." Akshu explained as tears filled her eyes.

She hated fighting with anyone but arguing with Abhi always left her extra heartbroken. It brought back all the terrible memories of their painful pre-confession days, but this was important. She couldn't let this go! Not now...

"Woh humare apne hai! Ladhna hai toh ladhenge, Gussa karenge. Par woh hamesha tumhare pita rahenge aur tum unke bete. Yeh rishta kabhi change nahi hoga Abhi!" She continued to plead her case and make him realize the importance of relationships. A few words, a few fights cannot end the bond between father-son, she wouldn't let it.

"Akshu bekar ki zidd mat karo!"

"Bekar ki zidd tum kar rahe ho Abhi!"

Both stared into each other's eyes, refusing to budge, refusing to back down. Both fighting each other, for each other.

"Akshu dekho...kal ghar mein jo kuch bhi hua hai na, uski wajah se main already kal raat se hi bahot pareshaan hu. Please mera saath do?" Abhi appealed to her, hoping she would for once choose him over everything else, over everyone else.

"Nahi de sakti." Akshara replied instantly and regretted her words right away as she watched her Abhi freeze.

He sat unmoving but his eyes were enough to express the hurt he felt at her lack of support. Suddenly he stood up and turned his back to her silently, as the anger and hurt bubbled in him.

Akshara smacked her head and shut her eyes as she realized how her words had come out. Taking a deep breath to calm her agitation, she stood and walked around the table.

"Abhi-" she began before shrieking as she tripped and landed, as always, right into his arms. He silently steadied her, jaw still clenched in anger, and began releasing her. She quickly latched her arms around his neck, holding him in place, before he could move away.

"Abhi...main iska saath nahi de sakti..." she whispered as her fingertips faintly caressed his forehead before slowly making their way down his face with a featherlight touch.

"Kyun ki mujhe iska saath dena hai." She ended her sentence with her palm flat against his chest where his beating heart sped up at her touch. His eyes, which had closed as her fingers trailed down his face, opened at the completion of her sentence as he stared questioningly at her.

She let out an airy, sad laugh before pulling him to the couch and sitting on the table in front of him. Pulling the table closer to the couch, she sat right in front of him, with their knees touching.
