Chapter Two

"Hey guys" you grinned at the Avengers that were sitting in the living room of the compound when you walked in.

They all knew who you were. You were Tony's best friend, so of course you had been to the compound a few times before.

You walked round the couch to sit down on it as Tony jumped over the back of it.

In the room with you was Steve, Natasha, Clint, Wanda and Vision.

"How have you been y/n?" Steve asked kindly.

"I've been good, Capsicle. How bout you?"

"I've been okay."

"How are you feeling?" Natasha wondered. "After what happened the other day?"

"Oh, uh, little traumatising but I think I'm okay. I'm more worried about the people that got hurt than myself" you looked guiltily down at your lap.

"You know that's not your fault" Clint added.

"Yeah I know" you lied. You felt like it was.

"But its fine because you're here now" Tony grinned. "And you're not leaving until whoever did that is locked up."

"Real sweet, Tony" you smiled back at him.

You looked around the others, landing on Steve.

"Do you know where Bucky is?"

"Oh, he went out when Tony said he was going to get you."

"Hm" you frowned disappointedly.

"Damn" Tony remarked.

"What?"

"He found out you were coming and just had to get away."

"Shut up."

"You're just that repulsive to him."

"Please shut up."

"He's so grossed out by you, he just had to leave the building."

"Tony, if you don't zip it, I will hit you."

"Violence is not the answer, y/n" Vision said.

"Sorry. You're right Vision. Violence is not the answer... It's the question and the answer is yes" you smirked and elbowed Tony in the side.

"Ow. Bitch."

"Aha- hey!" you exclaimed when Tony elbowed you too. "You're not allowed to hit a woman."

"You should really look in the mirror before you call yourself that."

"Oh you little bitch."

Tony shrugged and grinned.

You turned on the couch and leaned back, lifting your legs into the air and kicking Tony.

He pushed down your legs and crawled on top of you, pushing you down on the sofa.

"Ugh! Get off!" you cried and slapped him across the face.

When that did nothing, you grabbed his arms and rolled off the couch with him. You landed on the floor, you on top of him now.

You could hear the others laughing.

You pinned him down by the shoulders until he gave up struggling.

You sat up, victorious.

You laughed as Tony sat up and you slid onto his lap.

You climbed off him and you both took your seat back on the couch, and you smiled widely at the others.

The door opened, and Bucky walked in. He stopped when he saw you sitting comfortably on the couch.

You smiled at him.

"How long have you been here?" he asked.

"About an hour."

"You've been here an hour?" he repeated back to you.

"Yes" you chuckled a little. "Why?"

"You didn't come find me?" he frowned.

"I'm sorry, Steve said you were out."

"I was. But I got back like forty minutes ago."

"Why didn't you come find me?"

"Because I didn't know you were here yet."

"Is that my fault?"

"Yes."

"How?" you laughed.

Bucky didn't saying. He walked over to the couch to stand in front of you. Your gaze followed him as he got closer to you; you tilted your head up when he was right next to the couch.

You raised an eyebrow questioningly.

He held out his hand.

You smiled and took it, and pulled yourself up.

Neither of you said a word as Bucky guided you out the room. You gave a small wave to the others just before walking out the door.

"Oh my god you guys!" Peter burst into the room where the Avengers were sat. Most of them were there now.

"What's up kid?" Tony asked.

"I just saw the craziest thing! You will not believe it!"

Tony smirked, pretty sure he already knew what Peter was going to say. As did the others.

"I just saw the y/n y/l/n! She's in the compound! That's so cool!"

The others laughed a little.

"What?" Peter sounded confused, still a little out of breath after running to tell them. "Did you already know?"

"Yeah, kid" Clint said. "She's kinda Tony's best friend. So we've met her a few times."

"Really?"

"I swear everyone knows that" Natasha said.

"Oh, I um, I didn't" Peter sighed. He seemed disappointed that he had no news to share. "So, I guess that means you know about the Winter Soldier too."

"What about Bucky?" Sam asked.

Peter looked up hopefully. Apparently not everyone knew about that.

"Oh, he's kinda flirting with y/n y/l/n, and they kinda looked like they were gonna make out or something" he informed them.

Tony rolled his eyes.

"Bucky's flirting?" Sam questioned. "Now this I gotta see."
