Mythological Creatures of the Underworld
1. Medusa
Medusa, a famous folklore told for all ages, a woman, its beauty of all times, completed with a head full of snakes, ready to strike for anyone that comes close.
The body of a serpent on her lower half, it makes it easier to move and glide on the ground. In Greek mythology, she is the most famous for being a Monster figure with the top half of a female full of serpent hair, while the lower half being beautiful while carrying a large serpent tail. She is also commonly known as one of the Grogons.
She was sometimes represented as very beautiful, an immortal beauty, whose powers could freeze a man to stone, if looked straight in the eyes, as if that were true. Gorgon, a monster figure of the underworld were portrayed as winged female creatures, their hair consisted of snakes, and they were roundfaced, flat-nosed, and tongues lolling out and with a large projecting teeth, and immensedly portrayed to be beautiful, elegant and immortally young.
Medusa-who in later art is depicted as beautiful although deadly-was the only one of the three who was mortal.
