I decided to work with the little kid. I couldn't work with James because it would be awkward seeing as he's totally in love me, I don't want to break his little heart.

"You know he has a girlfriend, right?" Stacey stated as soon as I told her. I can't believe I'm working for a child. Is this where my life has gotten me.

"We all know he doesn't love her." I retorted back. "You can't be so sure." She muttered. I was at Stacey's house, we were in her room on the floor going through our old high school year book.

"Whatever happened to Ken"? I really wondered what happened. She kept on flipping through the pages and shrugged as an answer. I used my book to hit her on the head. "Speak."

"Ouch that hurt." She dropped the book and turned to me. "I don't know Casey." She said.

"But weren't you guys sort of dating?" Stacey wasn't  one to date but back in high school, she and Ken were pretty close. They won 'most likely to end up together' but got separated when they went to different college.

"No Casey. I actually met him back in New York." She said casually.

"What! And you didn't tell me." I said and scooted closer to her. She looked me squarely in the eye. "Because it didn't matter, we just hooked up and that was it." Her face was void of emotion so I couldn't figure her out. One thing the Thompson siblings are good at, is hiding emotions.

"Speaking of past relationships, whatever happened between you and James anyway?" She asked, "and don't you dare change the subject because you always do when I ask and get upset whenever I talk about him especially when we were in New York." She said still looking at me in the eye, which led to a staring contest. I broke the contact and bolted for the door but she must have a pretty good reflex because she immediately caught me. She climbed on top on me and pinned my arm to the floor caging me.

"Speak. Now." She demanded breathless. I struggled against her but the woman has a good grip. "Stop squirming and answer the question."

"Fine but please get off me, I promise I won't run away." I pleaded with her. She looked like she didn't believe me but was about to get up.

"Am I interrupting something?" A gruff voiced asked.

We both quirk our heads and saw James standing by the door. Stacey looked down at me and smiled mischievously.

"Actually, I was just asking Casey here what happen—" I used all my strength to twist us around and climb on top of her. I covered her mouth with my hands to muffle the remaining of her words.

"What do you need? Why are you here?" James unlike Kyle do not still live with his family. According to what Stacey told me, he has his own apartment that's roughly a twenty minute drive from here.

He gave us a weird look. "I'm here to get some stuff—and why does it matter if I'm here, it's my family house and not yours." He muttered irritated and I just shrugged.

"Is someone angry over the fact that I didn't agree to be his PA?" I poked fun at.

"Absolutely not. I clearly said you might fit the position and thinking about it you don't." He retorted back. He's just bluffing, he wishes I was his PA. I mean he would be the luckiest lawyer to have a gorgeous personal assistant like me.
