Sasha's POV
TW: Blood, character death
Anne was on the floor, half of her face covered in thick red blood she was having trouble breathing. I dropped my swords. Sprig was near Anne shaking her trying to have her to get up.
"Anne please please please you can't leave. We have so many adventures to go on and-and" He choked back tears and fell to his knees. Hop Pop came to his side and moved him out of the way so that me and Marcy could see her. We ran to her side and knelt down next to her.
"Anne just focus on breathing your going to be ok we'll get you out of this." I whispered, even though I didn't know if she was or not. Marcy was already in tears. Anne's breath was shorting and she was loosing energy. She shouldn't have gone up to fight The Core alone. But she did it. She saved everyone. After Anne did, her powers disappeared and she came tumbling to the ground.
"Sasha, Marcy, I'm so sorry. i-I love you both so much but I-" Anne tried to say between short breaths but she couldn't finish a sentence. Me and Marcy looked at each other, we both knew she wouldn't make it.
"We love you too Anne." Marcy said with a shaky voice. I looked at Marcy, tears leaked out of my eyes and onto the grass. Anne weakly smiled with the only energy she had left. I slowly sat Anne up and pulled them both into a hug. Everyone was starting at us. Yunan, Olivia, Grime, The Planters and the whole resistance.
"It's ok Anne. You can rest now." Her body went limp in our arms.
