LIAR.

WARNING: POSSIBLE MANGA SPOILER. VERY SERIOUS ANGST, I AM SO SORRY.

You would have never hurt him, right? You loved him, didn't you? Still, you left him with nothing but a hole in his chest.

He was not the kind of guy who got attached to people. He should have known you were going to hurt him. People hurt people and you were not a bloody exception.

His heart was broken beyond repair.

Your relationship started a few years earlier. You became a Pillar shortly after Sanemi became one himself. He hated how you always seemed to be the positive sidekick of the group. He truly did not get how you could walk around with that stupid, yet dazzling smile plastered over your face.

Whenever he was sent to a mission, you always wished him good luck. You even gave him a lucky charm with his name engraved on that shiny, green little pearl. You claimed to care about him, but he did not get why. What did you want from him?

He was not used to have someone caring about him, someone who waited for him and cleaned his wounds, someone who stayed up all night just to make sure he was recovering properly from the injuries he got.

You were a loving person. You always put his needs above yours. You always got his back. He inevitably got used to your presence.

Whenever you were not around, he could not help himself but asked his companions if they had a clue about where you were, or what you were doing. He realized he missed you.

It was a moonless night and you were patrolling a village together, when he unexpectedly felt a foreign feeling envelop his heart. You were gracefully avoiding your oppenent's attacks, swinging your katana around to slash its tentacles. That smile of yours, the one he had grown fond of, never left your lips. You were a mystical, ethereal vision.

You had bewitched him and he had found himself unable to move on the battlefield. Still, he realized he loved you when you promptly beheaded the demon right before his eyes.
It was charging at him, yet he had not even tried to dodge its attack because the sight of you floating above him, your katana held tightly next to your ear, had him hypnotized.

You landed in front of him, your eyes locking with his ones.

«Sanemi, are you sure to be alright?» you asked him, cocking your head to the side.

«I... Nevermind, let's go. You did splendidly» he told you, his eyes darting away from you.

You loved him. You truly did and you knew something was definitely wrong with him. He seemed upset. You knew you could have screwed up your friendship, but you did it anyway.

Cheeks flushing up in a vivid shade of red, you walked up to him and cupped his face in your tiny hands. It took him a moment to realize what you were about to do, but eventually he did and he did not stop you from capturing his lips with yours.

It was a sweet, yet fiery kiss. Sanemi sneaked his arms around your waist and pulled you closer to him, until your breasts were pressed against his bare, scarred chest. He wanted you, he craved nothing but to be close to you for the rest of his life.

It was not just lust, it was love and you both felt it.

You made love that very night. You were slayers, your lives were on a razor's edge. You felt the bliss of loving and being loved that night and the spark of affection in Sanemi's eyes told you the same. He had nothing in his life, now he had you.
