Chapter 16

MADISON POV:

When I woke up this morning the first thing I saw was Liams' beautiful face. Just being able to wake up in his arms made me smile nothing could break my mood. That was until I saw the date.

November 1, 2012.

Exactly two years ago today my father died. Just yesturday I was all happy that Liam got out of the hospital but I completely forgot that the anniversary of my fathers death was to be 24 hours later. How could I forget?

"Love? If I did something wrong please tell me. I didn't mean to." Liam says apologizing for like the millionth time. Ever since I saw the date I haven't said a word. Not even to Liam. I can't. If I tell him what's wrong I will seriously start balling in the middle of this room. I gave him the best answer I could give him right now ,which was me shaking my head. "I hate that you're not talking to me! If I did something wrong ,TELL ME!" he yelled.

I closed my eyes and take a deep breath. "Liam you didn't do anything wrong." I whisper.

"Then what's wrong?" Liam came to sit next to me on the bed and he wrapped his long arms around me.

I leaned into him ,resting my head on his shoulder. "It's just that the date caught me off guard thats all."

"The date?" he took a quick look at his phone "What's so special about today?"

I got up from my seat next to him. Why is everything so complicated? "Today is the anniversary of my dads death." I cried. He got up from the bed and walked up to me. He didn't say a word as he wrapped his arms around me. We stood there silent. My tears going all over his bare chest. This is my happy place. I could stay here forever in his arms ,but not today. "I love you." I whisper ,before I pull away. "I would stay here but I got to go." I inform him.

He started to pout in his cute Liam way. "Where are you going?"

I smile. "Where I go every year on this date. The Cemetery." I quickly peck him on the lips before I ran out the door the last words I heard him say were 'I love you'.

First things first I have to go home. My mom is probably at home lonely. She shouldn't be alone today. When I got home her car was parked right in the drive way. She always took the day off on this day. And I'm greatful.

"Mom?" I call out for her. I start to walk around the house before I found her in the kitchen with a glass of wine in her hand. "Mom you shouldn't be drinking that." I say as I took the glass from her hand.

"You know sometimes you act like your the parent and I'm the child." she chuckled.

"Can you blame me?"

"I guess I can't." I noticed that she had a picture in her other hand ,she stared at it with sad eyes. "I miss him so much. Why did he have to leave us?"

I walk up to her and give her a hug. "He didn't leave us. He's with us everyday."

Tears escaped from her eyes ,she smiled at me with a loving glare. "What would I do without you Madison?" She gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"I don't know." I say as I left her side.

I took a quick shower and got changed. I decided to wear a navy blue shirt (my dads favorite color), black skinny jeans ,and some blue vans. I got my hair done in a french braid and looked in the mirror. My face is pale ,do to the fact that I have no makeup on. I like to keep it natural. I smile at myself. I'm ready.

I said 'good bye' to my mom and headed down to the cemetery. It's about a 15 minute drive to get there so I turned on the radio smiling at the song that happened to be on. I started to sing with the song that I knew O to well.
