Blinded: A Sokeefe story

Chapter 5(Sophie's Pov)

I woke up sweating.
I had a dream in this kinda Chinese room with the dragons and me, Keefe, Dex, and Fitz were opening our match scrolls. We opened them and I was all of their number ones.
But, mine said Sorry. We can't help you from here. And I ran out of the strange room into a cave. Then I heard footsteps. Next thing I knew, I was being dragged away. Again. Then I woke up.
I hailed Keefe because I didn't know who else to call.
"Hey Foster."
"Hi" I was shaking from the dream still. "Want to come over right now?"
"Oh! Sure. Just gotta get the hair perfect before that." I glared but it probably didn't look scary because I was the one scared right now. "Hey are you okay? You look pretty, um, shaky."
"I'm- I'm- I'll tell you when you get here." I sighed.
"Okay.... Bye?" He sounded confused.
Then he showed up and came into my room. He sat next to me on my bed.
"Hey. How ya doing?" He asked. I looked into his ice blue eyes that were staring into mine.
"Oh good." I sighed. "What I was so worried about was a dream I had. It was where my match packet said-"
"Sorry. We can't help you from here." Keefe interrupted.
"How did you know?"
"I had the same one."
"Did I get kidnapped again after?" I asked scared.
"No.... Did that happen in yours?"
"Maybe" I said in a small voice.
"It's ok. It's not going to happen in real life." He told me. My shoulders relaxed a little. "Oh! And I was wondering what you would think if I told you this. So you know Elwin wants to adopt me,"
"Yeah."
"And Grady and Edaline wanted me to stay here too." Keefe said.
"Hey, no matter where you stay, nothing will change ok?" I asked.
"Ok. Also..."
"Also?" I said when his voice trailed off.
"I, was wondering if..." He paused. Then very quickly he said, "YOU WOULD WANT TO BE MY GIRLFRIEND?"
"YES KEEFE!" I replied, so happy he finally said it.
"Oh ok- wait really? I thought you liked Fitz more?"

"No, Keefe. I've realized that you've always been there for me. You've never been upset at me about anything even though I've done some stupid stuff. I guess I was blinded by my crush on Fitz that I didn't even think that you would like me." It felt good to share my thoughts out loud. Finally.
"So... what should we do now?" He asked.
"I think I know." I said. Then I leaned in, closed my eyes, and kissed him.

Ok so if you didn't notice, I called it Blinded because of that one line Sophie said. I also have no idea how to follow a kissing scene and I can't ask anyone cause I have Covid so yeah. Feel free to comment ideas!
