chapter five.
POV: Elaine

It was right after Better Than Words when Liam called out for the fans. "Londooon!"

The usual responses were shrieks that appear to be endless until one of the boys speaks.

"Okay." Harry said softly as he walk nearly towards to where I was. "Shhhh, shhhh."

There was a dull moment of silence. There were still some fans who takes the opportunity to yell to the boys.

"Shhhh." Harry said once more after hearing countable shouts.

Finally, there was a complete silence, nothing could be heard. With confused looks on our faces, we still kept silent.

"Scream!" Harry bossed bringing a hand up.

I laughed as I hear the once more compiled shouts of the fans inside the stadium. It was absolutely so adorable.

"Shhhh, shhhh." Harry commanded once more, putting a finger on his lips.

There was a blunt silence, a silence that makes you feel deaf. Not even murmurs or whispers are heard.

"Screaaam!" Harry yelled.

I screamed as loud as I could, letting out a chuckle after.

"That was really fun!" Harry giggled, passing over the moment to Zayn.

"Okay, I'm not a person who usually ask stuffs. But are you guys okay?" he asked shyly, a small smile appearing beneath how he spoke.

Defiantly, no one answered yes, not even no. It was just shrieks Zayn got as an answer.

"I guess that's a yes?" he laughed.

Obviously making me chuff. My eyes might be a little watery but it sure are showing pure happiness. Happiness over the fact that I'd seen them perform live this close, Niall and Liam noticing my sign, Niall saying he's all mine and calling me babe, and having backstage passes for tonight's show.

"So, when we were writing this song, I was thinking of you guys." Niall broke in with both of his hands adhered to his guitar.

As soon as I heard his voice and what he said, I squealed until I felt weak. That was actually one of the sweetest things I've heard tonight.

Niall paused as he walk over to where the other boys were "this is Don't Forget Where You Belong!"

[Liam] "Been a lot of places, I've been all around the world, seen a lot of faces, never knowing who I was, on the horizon, oh well and I know, I know, I know, I know, the moon will be rising, back home"

[Niall] "Living out of cases, packing up and taking off, made a lot of changes, but not forgetting who I was, on the horizon, oh well, and I know, I know, I know, I know, the moon will be rising back home"

They were together on the same spot on the stage but seemed like they weren't. They were far from each other and it makes it hard for me to record it.

I were on my tiptoes though I know I was in the first row, A5. I was just too inappropriate for my height. I'm 19 and I'm just 5"6. I can see them clearly, but I'm not too contented with it. Letting out a disappointed sigh, I looked back on the stage to focus more on them.

"Don't forget where you belong, home, don't forget where you belong, home, if you ever feel alone, don't, you were never on your own, and the proof is in this song"

This song is just music to my ears. It just makes me feel relaxed mainly because of it's tune and how gentle the boys sing it.

With few disturbances and relaxation, it was clearly unnoticeable that the song ended. It was just too fast, you won't even know that a song already ended because of how the show runs.

There weren't much talk between Trisha and I, every one had their mouths shut until a song was through or when the boys paused after a few talk.

It is definitely rude to scream while the boys are talking, it just doesn't sound well and respective. Each one of us is busy recording the whole show, glancing at your right, you'll only see fans holding their phone up. Same as on the other side. If you look at every side, you'll only see the same thing. And that makes me feel comfortable in some sort of way.

Often the same thing happening, songs summing up to end at once, the boys' mild greetings, and the fans' endless shrieks, the show was done. It was done.

The fireworks that came right after the boys' dreary exit, lighting up the salt-sprinkled sky. It's sparks slowly starting to fade away after a short period of time. The screams of the unwearied joyless fans coming to an end as we all stare at the fireworks display.

People from sections A1-A10 were asked by an official to compile and gather around. Those are people who have backstage passes, fortunate fans who got the chance to be one of the 10 people who gets to meet the boys backstage. That includes me.

With eyes heavily looking above to watch the fireworks and bodies that seem unmovable, we slowly walked passed people who were confused of what we are doing and where we are about to go.

We lined up and was ordered to follow another official who was just standing beside the far end of the seats. As soon as we got close to him, he approached us with a giddy smile. Without words coming out from his mouth, he motioned us to follow him.

We walked through a well-designed hallway. It was kind of tiring long before we reached a black door, stuck on it was a bond paper with One Direction written on it.

The backstage were much bigger than I thought. At first, I thought it was just like a small room that 5-7 people could only fit in. It was, honestly, different than I had expected. I thought there was a number of officials guiding us where to go and some guards or anything. It's barely close to that.

I was feeling pretty nervous, my hands were shaking and my feet felt numb.

"Alright ladies, don't pant, smile and feel comfortable with them. They are a lot tired than you are. You have half an hour to hang-out with them. I'll call you back when it's done. Spend your time wisely. Enjoy, and congrats!" the plump official reminded.

We all nodded. Hearts thumping in nervousness and sudden feeling of chills in excitement as he opens up the backstage door for us.

A bonnie lady warmly welcomed us. "Hi guys! Come in!", her hair was dyed in a light shade of violet. By far I knew it was Lou, their stylist.

We all smiled back as a response.

"I suppose you are the 10 people granted with backstage passes?" she said with a grin as she continuously comb her soft-looking hair.

Obviously, I want to say. Would we be here if we don't have the passes? But then I felt kind of rude after thinking just that. However, her question made me feel a little bad about having backstage passes. I don't know, there's just something wrong with what she said. I shot a fake smile as a return.

"Okay then, wait for them. They'll be here any minute now, I guess they're just changing clothes." she turned back and went out of the room.

The room was honestly simple. Just a cream painting on the walls, three casual sofas hanging around and a small table beside each one. Pretty much, it was just like our living room.

It was quiet, but not the complete quietness I was wanting. There was a low soothing music playing on the background, that is not actually helping me to calm down. I knew all of us felt the same. The same nervousness and excitement.

My heart went on thumping as my chest rise up and down uncontrollably. I was having a hard time to breathe normally. I can't imagine myself being so close to them. I can't imagine myself talking to them just like how I talked to my friends. I can't imagine myself being in this situation.
