Cassie was taking a cat nap on her blanket, Josh and Kirin were hitting stacked beer cans and Henry, Bo, and Scotty were nowhere to be found. It had been a couple of days since Ivan had left, three days since they last spotted Seth at the watering hole. Cassie's stomach growled as she was reminded yet again they were almost out of food.

She had picked the last of the macadamia nuts, the spam was almost gone, and the peanut butter ran out. The only time she didn't feel hungry was when she was sleeping. Which she couldn't do at the moment because she was hungry. With a sigh, Cassie opened her eyes and watched the guys.

"Lights out bitches!" Kirin crowed then threw a rock at the can tower.

The cans all toppled over and the two guys cheered.

"Did I not just call it? Did I not just say lights out?"

"Lights out!" Josh shouted. "Lights all the way out. I mean, fuses are blown. Power grids are down. There are rolling blackouts across the Eastern seaboard!"

"Woah Josh, kill switch."

"Right yeah, totally."

"Hey, can you go grab me some water and some sunblock? Then I'm going to need you to restock the beers as soon as you can."

Josh nodded eagerly, "Yeah. On it like a bonnet."

"That was a test Josh," Kirin shook his head. "One that you did not pass."

Josh walked back over to him, "Oh. Sorry."

"No sorry, just learn the lesson. You don't always have to do shit for people no questions asked."

"Except me," Cassie mumbled.

"Yeah except Cass, do whatever she tells you." Kirin agreed. "But not anyone else. That's bitch behavior."

"Aye, and you know what bitches get?" Scotty asked as he returned. "Fishes."

Scotty held up a red perch.

"Yes!" Cassie climbed to her feet. "Food!"

Kirin inspected the fish, "You reel that in?"

Scotty said yes at the same time Bo explained that Seth gave it to them.

"Man, I need you to not live your life like you're hooked up to a damn polygraph," Scotty requested.

Kirin's eyes darkened immediately, "Wait, you talked to that asshole? You let him give you that?"

"They caught extra," Bo shrugged.

"Who cares? We don't take handouts from dirtbags!"

"When we're low on food we do!" Scotty argued. "I don't know if you've noticed the shortage since you've been busy scratching at your clap sack or playing frisbee with your mini-me, and trying to light your farts on fire."

"Don't act like you didn't laugh at that."

Henry spoke up, "Personally speaking, I did not."

"Look man, all I'm saying is you've been acting like you run this camp for a while now. We haven't exactly thrived on your watch. I mean the atmosphere is getting to be like..."

"NFL Sunday at Hooters," Henry finished.

"But with no chicken wings. So yeah, we are taking handouts." Scotty handed the fish to Bo. "Fillet this shit up so we can get it cooking."

Cassie handed Bo her knife and watched as he scraped the scales off. She couldn't believe that soon she would actually be eating fish. Not a canned fish, but fresh fish.
