2: A New Day, A New Way

"Attention everyone! The most wanted criminal, 'The Joker' is back in the city of Seoul again! He has murdered more than 20 people in a single night! We advise you all to stay inside your houses for at least a month until the police gets him. Don't come out, especially at night, and close all your windows. Also, a very important thing! Stay away from anyone who has a tattoo saying 'V'. It's his sign on his wrist which only means 'grave danger'. I repeat! Citizens of Seoul! Don't come out of your houses after midnight! Be safe and protect your family by taking preventative measures!"

The news reporter practically shouted while the man facing the T.V. sighed in complete annoyance. Even though he was infront of the television, his all focus was on the papers before him. He pushed up his steel-rimmed spectacles using his index finger to get a clearer view. He was a little old and so, his eyesight was too becoming like his age. Old...

The two tall young boys who were sitting beside the old man, had their jaws hung open in disbelief while hearing the reporter's words, causing them to look at the old man, their dad in disbelief.

"Dad! You hear that? The Joker is back and now, these reporters know it too."

The old back huffed in response before tearing his gaze from the papers he was reading and focusing it all on the young boy infront of him.

"What can we even do? We knew that it had to come out sooner or later. Don't think too much about it, Yoongi." He replied back to his son who had wide eyes all the time.

"I know but still... They're gonna make a fuss out of it and use it as a hot topic." Yoongi muttered under his breath. He was so done with the news reporters. Whenever some kind of tragedy happened, they used it up as a headline for almost 3 months and that's what provoked Yoongi.

"C'mon Yoongles. It's fine. Dad will probably deal with it in his own way, right Dad?" The second son asked, nibbling on his lower lip, curiously waiting for his dad's answer.

"For sure. It's my job to solve such cases and there's nothing new in it." He simply shrugged his shoulders at his second son, Namjoon.

Right... Their father was a detective. It was a very common thing for them to witness such cases and be used as bait sometimes but their father was always there to rescue them. This only ensured how much they loved each other... Their father kept trying to leave his job as it was too dangerous for his children but Yoongi and Namjoon always assured him that it was fine. They knew that being a detective was their dad's dream job and so, they didn't want to ruin it.

They had a small family. Their mother had passed away, due to cancer when they were young kids.

"Yeah... You're probably right. Let's just wait and see what happens." Yoongi nodded his head, being a little assured and hesitant. He didn't know why but when the reporters kept saying the same thing again and again, it made him angry. He felt that they were making fun of someone's problems.

"Okay fine! Don't think too much Yoongi. Anyways, where's your dear sis?" Their dad winked, emphasizing the word 'sis' with sarcasm latched to his voice. The boys loved teasing their sister and the way she became red as a tomato in embarrassment always made them feel successful and proud.

"Oh right! That pig is probably sleeping! Gotta go wake her up!" Yoogi smiled, showing his gummy teeth with an evil expression.

"What the hell, dad?!" I shouted out in desperation, being so done with these people. I was technically, in my deep slumber, and Yoongi carelessly jumped on me which made me scared to the core! I literally thought that a scary creature was trying to kill me! "I hate you all so much! Is that how you wake someone up?"
