The Tragedy Of AJ Legend by AJ Afzali

Chapter 1

  A black 2018 Ford Transit connect is shown cruising down a near empty highway on a cool summer morning with Freedom by Anthony Hamilton and Elayna Boynton blasting out loud. Inside the car are four close friends from Queens college. 

Damien: "So Michael exactly we're the hell is this place your driving us to." Says Damien Sebastian. 

  Damien is young man in about 26 years old. He is Italian American with a faint trace of an Hungarian heritage. He closely resembles a young bearded Christian Bale.

Michael: "Relax brody you'll see when we get there", answers Michael Victor.

  Michael is Damien's best friend who is also 26 years old. He's Haitian American and is a dead ringer for a young Will Smith with a thick beard and sideburns connecting to it.

Damien: "I don't like being kept in the dark about certain things buddy."

Michael: "Brody why don't you go check on the girls and leave the driving to me." Damien looks at Michael with a sly grin.

Damien: "Ok pal, just call me if you need me. I don't want you getting us lost." He laughs.

Michael: "Brody you can count on that shiiiddd. Now go and let me enjoy my music."

  Michael turned up the volume on the radio which is still playing Anthony Hamilton's Freedom. While Michael was singing Damien had climbed over to the back of the van to check on the girls. Michael then sings a verse from the song.

Damien: "Hello ladies, how's the research coming along?"

Angel: "Hey babe it's going slow but we're able to find a couple of things." Responds Angel Garcia.

  Angel is Damien's 22 year old girlfriend. She's half black and half Puerto Rican but has traces of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean decent. Her looks are a cross between Michelle Rodriguez and Kerry Washington.

Damien: "Good what did you two find." He says in a curious tone."

Angel: "Well according to these articles AJ Legend and his girlfriend Lucy McIntyre were found dead in an alleyway. We also looked up that AJ was a trained professional wrestler but mostly did local shows around the five boroughs particularly in Queens were he was a minor celebrity. We also found out that Lucy was in the fashion business as an upstart designer."

Damien: "Does the article say how they died?" Like what happened to them?

Angel: "The police reports say Lucy a victim of a brutal sexual assault she had several slash marks to her face and back. However our friend AJ had it the worst."

Damien: "How bad is bad give me some details babe."

Angel: "He was found with first, second, and third degree burns to the right side of his face. It also states that the word "Die" was carved onto his chest."

Damien: "Jesus! They made him look like Two-Face from the Batman comics."

Christy: "Yeah, that's pretty much what some cop said when they found him."

Christy Corleone is Michael's 24 year old newly wed wife and Angel's best friend. She's half Jamaican and half Haitian with her looks being a combination with of a young Angela Bassett and Pam Grier.

Christy: "The cops said that their murders were probably the result of some guy called The Street King."

Damien: "Whose the Street King?"
